Morning SKULLFESTERS. Off to the wonderful Firevolt Festival shortly and there is a band on the bill there that headlined the first one, SKULLFEST²⁴ in the garden. McHale's Permanent Brew playing tomorrow just after lunchtime. Hoping to speak to other bands over the weekend with a view to playing future SKULLFEST events. In the meantime if you can't make Firevolt there are other SKULLFEST performers out and about this weekend so check one out if you can. Cheers everyone and no matter what you do over the next few days, have a blast because you deserve it. Ta for now-Dave xx

Afternoon all on this rather scorching day we have. Received a letter the other day from the chosen charity for this year's SKULLFEST²⁶ last month Parkinsons UK. Here it is if you want to read it along with a certificate from them with the total amount raised. Thank you to all who made a contribution in any way, all the artists who played without getting a fee, the staff at The Ramp, anyone who donated a raffle prize & bought raffle tickets and anyone who helped out on the day, Sharon & Paul. Can't do this without the help of each & everyone one of you. Three SKULLFEST events have raised over £7500 for various charities so you should all be proud of your contributions as its going a long way to make things a little better for the less fortunate in society. Cheers everyone, love you all.x

Morning SKULLFESTERS. Now that the dust has almost settled on another fantastic SKULLFEST event I would just like to thank everyone who made a contribution in whatever way. All performers were superb and gave their all putting everything into their 20, 30, 40 50 or 60 minutes and I couldn't ask for anymore from them. All punters that came through the door and anyone who donated something for the raffle table and all those who bought raffle tickets. The staff played their part too and the sound guy, Adam, really showed his worth in discussions with all performers before their slots and sorting out any issues that arose. On the raffle & walk-ins we took £567, we have a just giving page open and currently that's at £120 so a big thank you to all those who have made a contribution that way. I'm awaiting a figure from the venue regarding advance ticket sales which I should have in a couple of days before we can give you the final total raised.
In the meantime I can't thank you all enough and no doubt I'll be in touch when I've decided what to do regarding SKULLFEST²⁷ as its very close to a significant birthday and I may combine the two, not 100% sure yet but you'll be the second to know. That's about it for now, thank you once again, we couldn't do it without you lot. Cheers for now-Dave

Morning SKULLFESTERS. Just a quick thank you to everyone who came to The Ramp yesterday. All 7 acts were superb and gave their all from the 14 Yr old who did her first proper gig, all singers & musicians all the way to Joy, a 70 yr old battle rapper. It was brilliant to see all those happy faces enjoying our little fundraising event. It was going to be the last one earlier in the week but after receiving loads of lovely comments yesterday from both friends and strangers I think we can wring another one out. June 5th 2027. What do you think?

Morning all SKULLFESTERS, just one more sleep now before this year's event, SKULLFEST²⁶. Not too late to get yourselves a ticket or two if you've been undecided. You can also pay on the door if you wish. I've just seen the weather forecast for the weekend and that barbecue you were planning could be rather cold & soggy. Why don't you scrap that idea and come along to sit in a nice environment listen to great music, meet some lovely people, nice food & drink and have a bloody good time.
The pile of raffle prizes is growing with lots and lots of various things, bottles of Gin, Wine, Ales Prosecco, plenty of Soreen, T-shirts, Skull ornaments, Plaques, Smelly Beauty stuff, Jigsaws, Bags and of course the pair of Bar Stools etc etc.
Bands & performers are all really keen to showcase what they do best, the venue is ready to have us take over their place again and Sharon and myself are really looking forward to welcoming you all to our fundraising Music Festival in a Day which is raising money this year for Parkinsons UK . I know a number of people with the condition and have an understanding of the difficulties that they face on a daily basis.
Our efforts and your continued generosity will hopefully raise an amount of money that the charity can put to good use in a variety of projects and assistance to those in need.
Right, that's about it for now, enjoy your Friday and I will see you tomorrow but bring your friends with you too. You can't get in before 4.45 so don't turn too early.
Cheers for now-Dave xx

Evening all. Bit of an update regarding Saturdays SKULLFEST²⁶. A band has had to pull out for a couple of reasons which is a bit of a shame and I've had to swap a couple of acts around due to a couple of members needing to be somewhere else in the evening. Please see enclosed revised running order. Doors are open from 4.30 with the first act starting at 5.00pm on the dot.

5.00/5.45. Redeyed Jedi- 6 piece Ska band so have your dancing shoes on.

6.00/6.40. The Dove & The Dragon acoustic singer/songwriter with a fantastic voice.

6.45/7.05. Tilley Coffey- Teenage Singer.

7.10/7.30. The Joy & Skully Equation 70yr old lady & a 20 something fella and they battle rap!

7.50/8.35. Tommy P and The Crew- 4 piece authentic 50's Rock n Roll band that are well worth a watch.

9.00/9.50- The Heavy Souls, a 5 piece Southern rock/blues band from Sheffield.

10.20/11.30 Captain Sack Blabbath. 6 piece Rock Party band. Expect thunderous riffage & 3 singers along with Fancy Dress & costume changes and a Theremin no less!! You can't wait can you?

Got some SKULLFEST²⁶ news for you this morning. As well as Pasties being available from The Ramp, there is now the option of pizzas too so you can stuff your faces with both. Woohoo! Had a meeting with Paul at The venue last night & we discussed a few things. Sadly ticket sales are still p**s poor at 54 and we're hoping for a good number of walk-ins on the day. I know of a few extra people that are coming after the conversations I had yesterday while at a funeral yesterday and a friend who dropped some raffle prizes off last night said they will be along later on. A band has left the running order, The Gekko can't make the event and Craig was ever so apologetic but these things happen. It frees up a bit of time without having to curtail each performers set. That's about it for now, unless you guys want to say something? See you all on Saturday.

A few memories from SKULLFEST²⁴ in our garden. Can't wait to do it again this Saturday at The Ramp in Horwich.
