And the final curtain has been drawn. We have today managed to finish what has been a huge clearance job. Items have been tipped, skipped, saved or found a new home and we are very thankful for all the happy memories created over the 44 years at the hall. We are also very thankful to all who have made this clearance project a huge success whether back in October or over these last 3 weeks you have been a tremendous help and we cannot thank you enough. We can now return to doing what we love the most! Bringing quality theatre to the people of Bolton. Let the next Act begin...

We are very excited to announce that we will be bringing a second offering of Talking Heads your way with 3 more stories by the one and only Alan Bennett and 3 fantastic actresses to bring 'Bed Among the Lentils', 'Soldiering On' and 'A Cream Cracker Under the Settee' to life.

We will be performing at Bolton Little Theatre in the Forge from 15th to 18th July with a 7:30pm start. You can book your tickets online at themarcoplayers.net/bookings

The last couple of weeks has been a real closing chapter for us at the Marco as we have worked towards the complete removal of over 44 years worth of props, furniture, costumes and staging. Some things have been moved to our new storage unit or happily found new homes for a new future and sadly the rest has had to be scrapped. Next weekend marks the final big push forward to complete this huge task!

For now we thought we would give you a heads up of where things were only a year ago and where things are currently. Thanks to the incredible help we have had to make this possible and just a reminder that if you are free this coming weekend and would like to help in any capacity it would be greatly appreciated so please email [email protected] to let us know!

As you may know we recently launched our upcoming 2026/27 Season and we are very excited about everything it offers for both our membership and for our audiences.

Since not everyone could attend our Launch Night, we are extending the production and audition details to our wider membership. SEASON LAUNCH 2026 / 27
Come join us this Saturday 14th at the Doffcocker Inn, 780 Chorley Old Rd, Bolton BL1 5QD as we unveil our 2026/27 season and hear from each of the directors. Doors open at 7:00pm for a 7:30 start. There will be the opportunity to sign up for auditions and / or see what areas of our productions you could perhaps help out with in other areas. You can have a chat with the individual directors yourself too, to gain deeper insight into what they will be looking for. Look forward to seeing you there!
