There's something really special about attending convention as the outgoing UK champs, we get to sing on stage without the pressures of competition, to try out new material and perform 3 different sets to amazing audiences.
And what a convention it was, well done to all the volunteers who worked hard to make it happen, and to all of the award winners over the weekend. What an amazing bunch of representatives for the Barbershop community.
It was a long day for us on Saturday, we started rehearsing at 7.30am and sang our last note on stage at around 10.30pm. It was a brilliant day, a special mention should go to our first time convention singers Nick, Craig and John. We also want to give a huge shout out to those members who had other things going on at the weekend. It was Andy's first run out leading Harmony Revival at convention and they won division 3. Dylan waved his hands with MUBS and got a silver medal, he and Joe also won the Youth Competition with Live Lounge! Ash won division 2 with Knights of Harmony and Nathan won Young Barbershopper of The Year! We were proud to support our members who were involved in the chorus and quartet competition as well as our volunteers who helped out running the event.
It was definitely a busy weekend and we're just about recovered, we can't wait to get started on prep for next year!
