We made it into a new month… and that alone is something to be grateful for.

I just want to remind you — no matter how last month went, you still have another chance to get it right. You can start again, adjust, refocus, and keep moving forward.

This month, take things one step at a time. Don’t pressure yourself too much, but don’t give up either. Stay consistent, stay hopeful, and keep showing up for your goals.

I pray this month brings you peace of mind, clarity in your decisions, and strength on the days you feel tired. May doors open for you, and may you find favour in places you didn’t even expect.

Please don’t forget — you are doing better than you think, and your journey is valid.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, this special edition of HopeSeries is dedicated to something many women carry quietly — their mental health and wellbeing.

Behind the strength, the responsibilities, and the expectations many women face daily, there are real emotions, real transitions, and real stories that deserve safe spaces for conversation and healing.

I’m honoured to be joined by , a relational wholeness and family systems specialist who has supported thousands of women on their journey toward emotional stability, clarity, and wholeness.
Together, we’ll be having an honest conversation on “Becoming Her: Growth, Grace & Grit.”
If you are a woman navigating life, purpose, family, identity shifts, or simply trying to find balance again — this conversation is for you.

Can I ask you something gently?
What was the first thing you said to yourself this morning?
Not out loud…
but in your mind.
Was it:
“I’m tired already.”
“Today is going to be stressful.”
“I’m not ready for this.”
Sometimes we don’t even realise how harsh we are to ourselves.
Before anyone else speaks over us,
we’ve already judged ourselves.
I’m learning that the way I speak to myself matters more than I thought.
Because if I keep telling myself I’m behind…
I’ll move like someone who believes it.
If I keep telling myself nothing works…
I’ll stop trying.
So today, I’m choosing softer words.
More grace.
More faith.
Not fake positivity.
Just intentional speech.
Be patient with yourself today.
You’re growing — even if it doesn’t feel loud.
Change your talk.
One sentence at a time 🤍

Can we talk honestly for a minute?
Have you noticed how sometimes…
the person discouraging you the most is you?

“I’m always behind.”
“Why does nothing work for me?”
“I’m not even that good.”
And you say it casually.
You laugh it off.
But your heart hears it.

Be careful what you repeatedly tell yourself.
Your words don’t just disappear —
they settle somewhere inside you.

Your mouth can build your confidence
or slowly bury your courage.
I had to learn this too.
There were seasons I spoke frustration more than faith.
But what if you started speaking like someone
who truly believes God is still working on their life?

Not perfect.
Not there yet.
But progressing.

Change your talk.
The person discouraging you the most might be you.”

After changing jobs.
After relocating.
After starting again in a new system.
I would smile in public…
but privately, I questioned myself.
Why does it feel like everyone else is moving faster?
Why does it look like I’m always rebuilding?
Why does my journey require so much faith?
People saw the strength.
They didn’t always see the stretching.
They saw the leadership.
They didn’t always see the lonely nights.
They saw the vision.
They didn’t always see the uncertainty.

But here’s what I’ve learnt:
God was not delaying me.
He was developing me.
Every rejection built resilience.
Every closed door built discernment.
Every waiting season built depth.
Now I understand something clearly —
I was never behind.
I was being prepared.
Prepared to lead differently.
Prepared to serve from experience.
Prepared to speak hope from a real place.

If you feel like life is taking longer than expected…
please don’t rush your becoming.
Some journeys require more layers
because you are being built to carry more weight.

You are not late.
You are under construction.
And construction sites are not pretty —
but they produce strong structures.

Keep going.
Your timing is intentional.

I’ve realised something recently…
Growth isn’t pretty.
It’s uncomfortable. It’s lonely sometimes.
There was a time I would over-explain myself.
I would shrink to keep the peace.
I would argue just to be understood.
Now?
I don’t.
I set boundaries.
I walk away from what drains me.
I choose peace — even if it means being misunderstood.

Not everyone will understand this version of me.
But I’m not becoming who I am for them.
I’m healing.
I’m maturing.
I’m protecting my peace.
And if you’re in that in-between season too —
keep going.
The loneliness won’t last forever.
The strength you’re building will.
You’re not losing people.
You’re finding yourself.
