We use methods of teaching created by some of

The first reaction to this most recent advert was a flippant remark from someone who suggested that I don’t teach ’REAL SALSA’ .
Whilst everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I couldn’t quite let this one go. That one, off the cuff remark cannot be classed as an opinion as the fact is , I am one of the FEW in the country who teaches authentic, Cuban dancing. I have posted the following to all and hope you may take it on board. Slander is never pleasant and in this instance there is not even a wisp of smoke to go with the nonexistent fire.

Hi my name is Debbie Callow and I am The Dance Studio.
I usually let things ride - and I maybe shooting myself in the foot but, here goes. . .
I would never comment and degrade anyone’s profession yet - someone has just said I don’t teach real Salsa. Do they know me?
Let me just put it out there for general consumption - I have been dancing since I was six years old, trained and worked for an American Dance concern with some affiliation with such films as Saturday Night Fever and Dirty dancing. This means as well as teaching the International syllabus, I teach REAL American Ballroom dances and REAL Cuban Latin dances.
It has taken years to get to the standard that I am now at - and I am the first to admit that one never stops learning.
I find flippant remarks to be thoughtless. Sometimes , like this time - they are simply not true.
