The real monster at Loch Ness -

This project is a photographic investigation of plastics and other litter waste found at Loch Ness, Scotland (an inland body of water). The fact that these objects existed there, left or thrown away by people, is perhaps a small piece of evidence that a monster does indeed exist. A monster that many of us do not notice.

Broken Britain is a term which has been used in newspapers and by the Conservative Party to describe a perceived widespread state of social decay in the Uk, England has been torn between leave and remain for so long, nobody caring for other issues in the world, such as global warming, England has been torn from 2016 on ward about leaving Europe with so much fake news and click bait that’s making a new term for “Broken Britain”

With the development of the fast fashion industry and it’s grossing value, how is this affecting our eco system?

‘Thrifted’ is the beginning of a series that was created to inform and educate it’s viewers on the importance of ecological fashion. With an inquisitive approach, Thamy merges her three favourite styles of photography: documentary, portrait and fashion to create an artistic series and enhance her narratives through her own photographs.

With a minimalistic approach, she is trying to grab people’s attention and show them that sometimes, buying something second hand is more than just cost effective. With so many vintage pieces to discover, the process of putting these outfits together is something Thamy has managed to capture.

Winds of Change
Jackie has recorded some of the architectural changes taking place in Bolton right now. Her interest in the industrial history of Bolton has influenced her work and her imagination. The juxtaposition of old and new buildings on the bolton skyline has provided scope for her imagination in presenting cityscapes chosen from a high viewpoint.
For ‘Winds of Change’ she has produced a portfolio of images that identify the new buildings that are rising above the old being restored. The changes are exciting and are part of the plan for a bright regenerated town for the 21st century.

The Mixed Martial Artist.
‘‘There’s no talent here, this is hard work. This is an obsession.’’ – ‘The Notorious Conor McGregor.
This series builds up a comprehensive collection of documentary portrait photographs, that offer an insight into the training sessions of a semi-professional competitor, Domenic, who is involved in combat sports.
Taking influence from work by the likes of Bran Holloway and Ryan Loco, Photographer Santino Crisi depicts the personality of Domenic as he trains to become a professional Mixed Martial Artist.
The series of images reflects raw talent, sheer hard work and determination that the sport demands, through this set of gritty authentic photographs. Shot in black and white, the images are remnant of a less pre-digital era when great sporting hero’s like Muhammad Ail and Sugar Ray Robinson were immortalised on film.

“The cult of CrossFit is in community” (WOD fever, 2019).

CrossFit is a world-wide corporation that has been designed to help people accomplish their health and performance goals. CrossFit is inclusive, supportive and welcoming to any age and gender.

Fusion Fitness is a local CrossFit gym. Fusion is much more than a gym to many people, it is a community. Throughout the photographic series, this body of work documents the friendships, passion and unity this community shares.

Megan is a member of Fusion Fitness herself and documents her daily positive experiences of companionship and togetherness. Megan knows without the community, she would not have such a strong enthusiasm for the gym. The atmosphere created by your gym community is what makes fitness and health addicting.
