Here’s the latest update about the project 💙

As autumn gets underway, construction at the Alexandra Arts Centre, Bognor Regis, is continuing at pace, with the finishing details now beginning to arrive alongside the completion of major structural and services works. The building is starting to feel less like a construction site and more like the arts centre it's becoming.

We were very sad to hear of the death of Dame Esther Rantzen. ❤️

So, we thought we’d share this lovely little piece of Alexandra history.

Back at Christmas 1982, Esther appeared as Dick Whittington at the Alexandra Theatre, Bognor Regis — in what we understand was her first pantomime.

This original programme has survived for more than 40 years and is a wonderful reminder of the incredible people who have appeared on our stage over the years.

As we get closer to reopening as the Alexandra Arts Centre, we’re keen to make sure these stories and memories aren’t lost.

And if you have an Alexandra memory to share, we’d love to hear it. ❤️

There’s something rather exciting about seeing the finishing touches beginning to appear at Alexandra Arts Centre.
