We open in Spring 2027 🌸

Arun District Council and Arun Arts are pleased to announce that the Alexandra Arts Centre, Bognor Regis will open its doors to the public in Spring 2027.

Formerly known as Alexandra Theatre, the venue will be a major new cultural hub serving Bognor Regis and the wider area, offering the best possible experience from the moment it welcomes its first audiences.

Here's another update on our build. Making good progress 😍

Construction at the Alexandra Arts Centre continues to progress well, with the project moving further into its exterior and finishing phases. Huge thanks to Storm Lighting for generously donating lighting equipment to the future Alexandra Arts Centre.

It’s a bit of a full circle moment — our Vice Chair first did work experience and toured with Storm back in the early 2000s, so seeing that support come back into a community arts project like this means a lot.

We’re not quite at the stage of rigging the theatre yet, but early support like this genuinely helps build momentum and belief in what we’re creating for Bognor Regis.

Here's the latest update on our build. It will be so fantastic to have that new roof! No more leaks in the wings thank goodness! Which we're sure some of our performers remember with fondness... 🤣

Work on the redevelopment of the Alexandra Theatre in Bognor Regis has made steady progress throughout January across the new extension and existing theatre building.
