Always wanted to see the pyramids.. made it as far as the sphinx today.

The sun is out time to start working through the 300+ private machines we have, some nice bits but first three out are these.

One for Portmouth and one for Bognor, already one in Maidstone. We have labyrinths and sphinx, pyramids in the main store.

They all need a tidy up, one has Andy’s great escape £10 graphic and one is missing a button lol

Funny how two are in the common orange and one in the blue. The artwork difference is because the blue is identical to the pyramid art, all but in name. The orange ones have less emphasis on the pyramids themselves. The blue version came first with a simple name change, because of its success the artwork was retouched.

All good fun!

Easter is almost upon us and with Easter Sunday being a day in where almost all the shops close we normally close all of our arcades Easter Sunday.

This year we have decided that along with Bognor Regis we will be open in Portmouth this Easter Sunday.

So..
Chatham, Maidstone and Fareham are all CLOSED Easter Sunday..

Bognor Regis & Portsmouth will be OPEN on Easter Sunday

All other hours inc bank holiday Monday and Good Friday are normal across all sites.

Eggsellent news I think,

Sorry that wasn’t very ‘bunny’ was it!

*Important Announcement*

Due to our lease coming to an end in June 2026 we have decided to leave Tonbridge.

With much uncertainty surrounding the building and adjacent buildings (possibly being knocked down) we also had many other operational issues in the town, where the town itself is suffering in these economic times.

Staffing was always an issue in our Tonbridge site and the arcade seemed to fall short of the true Mr Ps Classic Amusements experience we are renowned for.

It is for that reason, with IMMEDIATE effect we have decided to say a fond farewell to Tonbridge Mr Ps Classic Amusements.

We will concentrate on our five other sites, and continue to build the brand, elsewhere.

Weekly waffle
26th January 2026

Hello fruits and Nudgers!

What on earth happened to last weeks waffle? Was it gone with the WIN(d), written in invisible font or just not posted? Well it was written, in part, but then lost during a frantic moment of swiping off the many open tabs on my phone!

So what’s been going on? Too much I would say, but all fruitful and all like the cosmic dust from outer space from Mother Nature. There are many things been setup and created, something to not only power ahead with our plans, but to realise them.

So much has happened these 16 years of trading and as this year will be year 17 we think back, reflect and wonder where did the time go!

Yeah we get people with a lot of unfulfilled time in their lives try to attack us, but the more they do the busier and the more support we get, so thank you for that.

Up at the EAG was busy, we spent most of the time chatting with everyone and didn’t even get round to it all, the exhibition was much more structured and impressive than more recent years. I would go so far to say that it had some elements of buzz back into it. The stand of the whole exhibition though, without doubt, was Reflex Gaming, tbh that view was shared by many on the day too, they have moved leaps and bounds in the last 12 months.

Whilst at the EAG we agreed to become a test site for Ace Gaming to give them much needed player insight for their latest games. These will be rolled out across the sites beginning of Feb. We will post about the new games and give player feedback and test results to Ace to give the best experience for the player. The new machine we have agreed between us to give the player an RTP of 94% and to ensure optimum player experience is given. More on this separately in due course, the latest game is just being finished off before it get sent to us.

There will be a new series on our you tube channel about to start, this one will be called ‘The Flight of the Emu’ and will begin in the main store. There will be a lot of behind the scenes stuff, and things we have never shown. Everything on our you tube is raw footage and uncut, it’s not even monetised as a channel, it’s just for fun and will showcase some random stuff. We all know that Emus cannot fly so what is the meaning of this tag line, and why?

Although due to a busy winter period, we are slightly delayed, many of you have asked about the machine changes. They are happening and being prepared as we speak, but we have had our sales side of the business pick up significantly and as we look to launch a new sales arm of the company this year it will supply both trade and members of the public with some fine classic and more modern fruit machines. We are licenced by the UK gambling commission to sell, supply and maintain so look out for a new website very soon. More on this also separately!

Just to confirm though that ALL sites will have machine changes, and I am currently troubleshooting and working in the arcades that need me.

We have decided on slightly different directions for some of the arcades, and the first one to change direction will be Fareham. So as many of you are aware Fareham was the FIRST classic uk arcade to go 24hrs, and it was a real test for the ageing machines. Overall they held well, and even the old Maygay M1 boards were solid as a rock, however all games needing weekly maintenance. With Fareham being a slick looking arcade with such a large open plan floor space we have been considering whether we have the right games in at the current time. Some of the most popular games we have in there are the classic games, and although the £25 era is popular, we have virtually no 10p £5 games on offer; perhaps an oversight.

The 10p £5 machines, and even the 20p £5 games we have offered have been so popular, take Bognor’s 10p £5 offering, second to none, has increased foot fall and made our winter times busy for two years running as we have stepped up the low stake floor.

Fareham is going to have a lot more classic tube based and £10 jackpot era games put in, including cheaper games too on 10p £5. I will be working at least one day a week in fareham to keep everything running too.

Talking of Fareham, we have some sad news, Olivia will be leaving us at the end of this month to pursue a new career. She has been with us from the beginning and we will miss our ‘tinker bell’ of the arcade world. Thank you for your loyalty and we wish you well in the future!

So with Fareham losing a core team player, and more classics going in, and for the last 16 years we have been preserving history, we will continue doing just that. This is why we have now removed the nights (24hr opening) from Fareham altogether. So Fareham’s new hours are now the matched 10am til 8pm hours Monday to Saturday with 11am til 7pm Sundays. This is because you will see there are some ambitious games going into Fareham and out of the entire group of arcades, Fareham will receive the biggest switch up ever seen before in our history. It will be very, very, very much a classic arcade for sure, accompanied of course with some of the latest games.

We hope that this year is going cherry well so far, and we look forward to catching up with you all soon

Until next time

‘Nudge Time’

So it’s been another roller coaster white knuckle ride both behind the scenes of the arcades, and with plans afoot.

Machine changes are now being confirmed for all sites with the roll outs beginning in a matter of days, this will bolster the classic offerings and gives some run outs to some machines we have not run for a long long time and some debuts too.

It’s crazy when you look back on things, it only seems like yesterday.. whether you was in the social club in the 80s, clubbing in the 90s, it all seems like yesterday, as does the era that we represent.

What goes up, must come down and what is born, must sadly reach its end and that is the circle of life, and how things move, like it or not. Time has the greatest of illusions, when we are young we think it drags as we long to be older to do ‘fun things’. Reach and adult age bracket and when we leave our invincible years (our 20s) behind we wish time to slow down, as it seems to be picking up pace and momentum.

As you move in a direction, the wind may pull you in another, or worse you may lose your way, and what you built along with it. Not many things stand the test of time, that’s for sure. What does stand tall is true friendships and those that fail or expire, if they were real in the first place; will ‘go quietly’ and with the possibilities of resurgence in the future. False friendships will only give false accounts and reveal the true identity of what lies beneath, which is a blessing and saves time, in the long run.

Not sure what to expect at the EAG this year, hoping to see some innovation and I’m sure there will be some different ideas as the titles monopoly, bullseye, Party time and Bullion Bar have all swapped manufacturers.

Looking forward to going out for drinks with Retropolis classic Arcade after and seeing a few good friends up there.

Lastly, huge thanks to all of your wonderful support that not only are keeping the arcades busy but more importantly keeping our community that we have built together alive.

I’m now off to work on some Maygays and finally get JPM Fireball ready to come out and entertain again.

Speak soon

Weekly Waffle
First of many 2026 written 5/01/2026

So here we are, as promised our weekly waffles are BACK and will be published every Monday at a random point in the day, but without fail they will hit the page each week.

Happy New Year fellow Nudgers and we hope that you had a wonderful festive period leading up to saying a farewell to 2025.

For many people close to us, and for loss, 2025 was a shocker of a year and it’s often the odds that keep us at odds too. The evens we have always felt more buoyant for and although it’s just a number 2026 will be an unpredictable one, as we look at the crossroads we find ourselves at.

One thing for sure is we are going back to regular machine changes, we are going to rock the boat with some, but changes must be made, to keep things fresh. Tonbridge, Chatham, Portmouth and fareham are earmarked for changes in the first half of January with Maidstone in the latter half towards end of the month.

We have a feeling this January 26 will be harsher than other januarys we have had in the past. With Bognor Regis being busier this winter than last winter (which was our busiest on record) we see the importance of low stake gaming. People are struggling and it’s vital we offer more low stake games in our arcades to cater for all budgets. We increased the low stake games in Bognor and Maidstone and both have had a resounding difference to footfall.

So the roll out of our Again again again machines will be throughout the arcades this month. Tonbridge, Chatham, Portsmouth and Fareham will each receive one. Bognor has two, one £10 jackpot and one £5 jackpot and Maidstone has the prototype one. In March all will be reglassed to have new reel bands and glasses but to give the bar x familiarity we are using n predominately bar x 5 cabinets at the moment. We are delighted what a fan base this game has, and we will ensure all arcades have got one this January!

So Ace’s classic £6 token Grand National is close to coming out the stables, and there will be one heading to Maidstone Reel Fruits and one to Bognor Regis Reel Fruits section. This is an epic game, and we feel will be thoroughly enjoyed. Upon Grand Nationals arrival we may move circle line over to Portmouth, we do have plans to bring out a lot of our old ace games. At present we only have one twilight zone out - that’s in Maidstone Reel Fruits, and only one open the box. We will likely bring out one of our Emmerdale too, for something a little different and heavily streaky, but which one, Emmerdale or the Woolpack?

There is another machine that will be given a HEADLINE release later this year too, a great classic that I’m pretty sure will leave a blazing trail and sparkle like no other.

Anyway, if Christmas time has been hard for you, if someone dear has departed, or juts been a hard time.. remember never to give up on the good times, and shoot for the stars.

Be lucky,

See you next week fruits

Christmas Message 2025

‘Reflection’

Born with just the skin on our back our parents welcome us into the world, full of joy, happiness and hope. Their struggles and their pain were put aside one time to create us, and through passion we arrive in this mortal coil.

The circle of life as we like to phrase it, and the journeys that we all entail are varied but almost always uncertain, which can be a blessing when you reflect on it.

Whatever you do, wherever you are life will be full of regrets, missed opportunities or bad judgement. This is how we learn and go forward, but we are all guilty of being dismissive of what we are told and advised, we must make our mistakes on our own and often learn the hard way.

For me, personally, I have no regrets but just reflection. I like to consider if the right call was made, if the doubts that I may have had were a good hunch or a bad call. The best gift that someone can have is to be kind.

Whether your friend or foe it’s best to use that relationship as intended, friends stick together no matter what. If someone does cross the line to be foe, then let them be, don’t embarrass yourself by taking cheap shots at them, our playground days are behind us.

Be hopeful, sometimes the chips may be down and there is all too often no easy way out, look closely though, and closer still; there is always a way through.

This year, 2025, has been a rough ride but one that I would ride again and again, because it was a breakthrough year.

The year started off with us teasing you all of a new arcade, and the climb was beginning just then, the highs and acceleration of what was yet to come was leading us to the stratosphere. It was exciting, a real buzz and above all we were strengthening the team and soon to be bolstering our arcades and games out there for all to enjoy.

Up she went, the rollercoaster that we had got on, click click click, higher and higher, wow, we can almost touch the sky..

The workload for pigeon was intense and the pressure so immense that it was like we were under a spell whilst being suppressed with the most heaviest of weights on us.

We got through and with hiccups along the way, banana skins to make us slip and slide, we pushed on, and in true British spirit, carried on regardless.

Behind the scenes we had some emerging problems begin to rear their head, and although duly noted, we kept them under as much muted control as possible expecting inevitable dilution of duty. We kept focused and allowed what was being fired at us to be absorbed, at that time it was only like being hit with a spud gun, so nippy, but not too harsh.

Portsmouth being delayed and brought the resurrection of a troll (known by many in the community) and of course the promotion of alternative establishments in the mix.. bit cheap, but each to their own. This kinda thing has been going on and although the track ‘hangin tough’ from the 90s is in my mind (and they did fizzle out) ,it is what the world is today.

Back in 2009 when we started this journey, the internet had already gripped but social media was not as rife as it is today. We used to have our own forum, websites and frequented other well know forums too. Youtube was a thing but it wasn't as populated as it is today with content creators. I never will forget the first time I saw a now well known YouTuber in our arcade and he had pieces of paper to give various shout outs to on their videos, quite impressive when you see it for the first time.

So great exposure, great showcasing and awesome build on the community gives great benefits to the players that cannot make it to the arcades. Like the coin in our pockets, there is always a flip side. It is when someone takes it upon themself to cause you issues, although if you have been going as long as we have, the REAL customers will rebound it like we do, it does make the troller/keyboard warrior look a fool and if you have not seen it before, hurts until you become resilient. Sadly (and the first three letters there are apt) it is life now in the social media world where the weak and weird have a voice, and ‘the strong’ are the ones who speak face to face and stand shoulder to shoulder with those under attack.

One of the worst attributes is slyness or use of lying. Going into 2026 without this is already going to ensure that it’s a better year, and it will be a case of let the fans begin. Nobody needs an Adrian ‘….‘ Working against them.

Some of you may think that we have aspirations for a new arcade in 2026, and that is very possible, we have reached a crossroads now and we need to spin the wheel to see which direction to take. Equally other roads that lead to different routes are possible, which one we take will be seen, all in good time.

What we have needed to do, which is an unprecedented move for us is invest into a different aspect of our operations to ensure that the ship is watertight. In this we have had many meetings and had to bring in many procedures to ensure that we can take action, as and when necessary to keep the ship at sail, as you grow as a force, inevitably there are forces rising against you.

To be a good team, you kind of need to be like a good army, prepared to battle and prepared to defend. War doesn’t determine who is right but who is left, this is a quote from the Confucius on Mortal Wombat by Impulse Gaming.

So it’s times like Christmas where emotions run deep and the wish to see a loved one grows significantly and burns like the brightest star.

For many of us this year, our heart will be longing for someone who is no longer here, physically anyway. This is always a hard sense of pain to carry and it fades, perhaps in time, but returns when one finds themselves needing that 5 minute chat they crave for.

Life is all about making things count, not dragging yourself down with petty things and stupid vindictive provocation. It’s all about standing tall, brushing it off and moving on, those who wish to move with you; will do.

Our message to you all this year is to take care of one another, be there and be kind. Reflection is something that comes to us all, even the cruelest of people out there, and often for them it’s when they are totally isolated.

Amelia and I would like to thank you all for all of the wonderful kindness, support and loyalty that have show us all over the 16 wonderful years. It’s been a rough old ride this one, and it’s been only possible with YOU. Some of you do not realise how much your own characters and personality’s have lifted us from the doldrums and enabled us to keep spinning the reels. Sometimes we have been so low, that we didn’t think we could peel ourselves off the floor, but you people have done it for us.

We sincerely hope that we have given you all some great memories and have made you happy enjoying classic fruit machines again.

We hope to see many of you on the 27th December 2025 in our Bognor Regis arcade. We would like to thank the many people that came to Reel Fruits Christmas party this year and so those who also went out drinking afterwards (until 4am lol). It had been a while since I woke up to a kebab and considered eating it for breakfast!

Thanks for your support, standing with us, and for being on the same rollercoaster ride as we are.

All of our love & Happy Christmas to you all

Dave & Amelia xx

Written in loving memory of Brenda who was not only one of the Gravesend originals but was our dear friend. We will miss you so much, don’t you dare streak everything in the arcade in the sky, until we meet again xx

One day to go.. one more sleep!!!

Well what can we say, it’s been fun sharing little fun facts with you all.

So where did it all start hey, when did them lights and reels lure me in..

So let’s open that next advent calendar window, that’s it the Christmas Eve one numbered 24..

Fun Fact
Did you know?
When I was a child the travelling fairs and many trips to the seaside got me into machines, I loved it then as a kid and love it now as an adult!

My grandad was disabled and as a young boy I could push him around, he would be like many men, given pocket money from the ‘er indoors as many were known back then - thank minder for that lol.

Anyway, not in a diminishing tone, my grandad would save his money in his purse with a clip at the top and he would say come on let’s try that one. With my grandad already a man that captivated my attention on the fruits we would go.. oh what fun we had. He was the same as me, the fun, thrill and excitement - forget the money..

Growing up as a kid the Argos catalogue had little bandit bank fruit machines in their toy section. Myself and Kev got one each. I remember us taking them apart and making them bar x fruit machines - drawing the bar, x and o symbols and colouring them in with felt tip. Great times. I still have my original and a few others that followed that such as Las Vegas four reeler and Monte Carlo four reeler.

We would play pusher’s with books, we found bibles good (pmsl) but hey we were young kids.

I would make box games from Lego and cardboard for those to drop their money into, with the chance of winning big. Hey I even took my little bandit bank into school when I was about 12! They were fun times..

When a nipper I would often catch a train to Hastings and play the machines there, my dad would give me pocket money to go to the ‘out of this world’ play park above the arcade. It was an escalator to go up and slide to come down. Often I would let him watch me go up, then wait five minutes and slide out and get onto the fruits.. so many people left X and Bar wins on the Electrocoins so I made my money last.. he knew, and one day he waited and caught me! lol

I would BUY tokens from people that won them so that I had a souvenir from each arcade.

Of course the lucky 7 bingos featured heavily in them days and I realised even back then that they were SKILL machines and mastered them pretty fast. Found one overpaying one day, I still have that bag of plastic tokens to this day.

Anyway last one tomorrow and also the Christmas Message 2025.

In the meantime, have a wonderful evening

Ho Ho Ho
