We’re so excited to announce that Shaunagh Burge, Principal of Spotlight School of Performing Arts, will be opening her diary for 1-to-1 singing lessons from November! 🎶

Whether you’re a child or an adult, a complete beginner or an experienced singer, Shaunagh’s lessons are designed to help you build confidence, develop your vocal technique and become a stronger, more confident performer. 🌟

Our little stars will be getting ready for Christmas with festive activities and rehearsing for their very own part in our Christmas show! 🎅✨

🎭 YES — OUR 2–6 YEAR OLDS WILL BE PERFORMING TOO! 🎭

They’ll be taking to the stage alongside our older performers for Christmas Under the Spotlight on Friday 11th December! ❤️

From our youngest performers to our biggest productions, there really is something for everyone at Spotlight.

🏃‍♂️💚 DAN IS TAKING ON THE GREAT NORTH RUN! 💚🏃‍♂️

Our Director, Dan Burge, is taking on the Great North Run in memory of Shar, while raising money for The Newman Trust — a charity that means a huge amount to our family.

Our other Director, Shaunagh, has volunteered with The Newman Trust and has seen the incredible work they do and the difference they make to children and families.

Dan is taking on 13.1 miles for a very special reason, and we couldn’t be prouder of him. ❤️

Our first workshop of the new term with the brilliant Sam Scott was a MASSIVE success! 🌟

Our Spotlight stars got stuck in, learning key theatre techniques as well as songs and dances from NEWSIES! 📰🎶💃

It was fantastic to see everyone throwing themselves into the workshop, learning new skills and having so much fun along the way! 👏✨

🎃 SPOTLIGHT SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEK 🎃

Get ready for a spooktacular week of singing, dancing, acting and all things theatrical!

Join us 26th–30th October for a jam-packed Halloween holiday camp, where we’ll be exploring songs, characters and scenes from the world of musical theatre — including:

This isn’t just about learning songs — our campers will spend the week singing, dancing, acting and creating, working towards a fantastic showcase for family and friends on Friday!

WE’RE BACK!

After a brilliant summer break, Spotlight is back and we’re raring to go!

It’s been a very special few weeks for us with the arrival of our newest little member, Jemima, but now it’s time to get back to what we love — performing, creating, dancing, singing and having lots of fun!

New baby, same Spotlight.

This term is a full half term of exciting workshops with talented people from different disciplines across theatre and the performing arts, giving our members the chance to learn new skills, try something different and be inspired by talented professionals.

We can’t wait to see everyone back, welcome some new faces and get stuck into another brilliant term!
