I know we don't have the budget of Fernwicks Christmas window, but here's the Blyth Body Piercing halloween window..... If you are offended you are probably guilty.
A few places are already advertising for seasonal jobs for Christmas. We don't have any seasonal jobs going but understand how difficult it can be to get CVs printed if you don't have a printer at home or can't afford the overpriced cartridges.
If you have a CV in .doc, .docx or .pdf format and want us to print you a few off, or want photocopies of a paper one, no charge.
This year we will be putting together some cost of living Christmas stockings. The list of options aren't sorted yet, but this will be an example of one of the offers:

I did two preview excerpts of my upcoming book, one for adult consumption only and another with the preview of the rather explicit section on relationships removed. I uploaded the wrong file and for a few minutes way more information was available that I ever intended to be available where kids could access it. Very sorry.

My new book, The Secret Life of an Autistic Gobsh*te, comes out next year, covering the challenges of growing up undiagnosed in a neurotypical world. It uses blunt (some would say profane) language, covering school, childhood, mental health, university, every long-term job I've ever had, s*x and relationships, pet hates - including 6 pages of bitching about TV licensing.
There is nothing, other than passing references or simple scenarios that could be about anyone, about my family. I have chosen to make my life an open book in the hope it will help people with a loved one on the spectrum. My family haven't and they deserve their privacy. Similarly, any reference to a former partner is "my ex". No specific former partner will be named or identified as they, too, deserve their privacy.

How did supermarket customer service get so bad?
Just been to a supermarket. Couldn't buy one of the main things I'd went for as there was an unpacked pallet dumped right in front of them shelves. I asked if I could get the item I needed from behind it only to be told "You'll have to come back tomorrow".
No staffed checkouts as normal so had to scan myself, with about 3 hold-ups caused by "surprising items" I'd just scanned being in the bagging area. Then it transpired something I'd scanned was security tagged so I set the gate off leaving, only for some pipped up security guard to just presume it's ok to grab and start rummaging through my bags in front of other customers as if I'm some common criminal, as he demands to see the receipt the machine didn't even give me. I'm pretty sure actually that only constables have the right to search your bags without asking your permission, not security guards.
I typically spent over £100/week in that shop. Not any more.

We bought 40 special buy Yankee Candle wax melts to sell for £1. They almost all went in the space of a day. I've ordered every one my wholesaler had left so as soon as the rest get here we'll have another 300 but that will be all. Once they have gone, we won't be able to get more at that price.

As an autistic person who spent my childhood and most of most my adulthood undiagnosed, I have used mental health services quite a lot, and I understand their importance. I also understand, without a crisis (or sometimes even in a crisis) how long it can take to get an appointment. That's why I want to offer my team a "mental health occupational health" service. What my team will discuss with you will be confidential unless they ask you discuss something with me. It might be work related or it might not.
Must be RMN, CP or equivalent registered professional.

This winter, early November, we'll be temporarily converting our downstairs retail area into the Stocking Filler Warehouse. Not a typical Christmas shop, rather a place to pick up value for money toys, make up, brushes, accessories etc for stockings.
Most lines will be priced at £1, with others at 50p / 3 for £1 or £2.
Some of the "not specifically for Christmas" lines will be arriving from next week and will be put on display as they arrive. Any Christmas lines will be put by until November.
We buy our powder free, latex free, nitrile gloves in bulk - multiple cartons of 10 boxes each at a time - so we get a good price. Having heard how much local hairdressers and beauticians are paying for them, we're making them available for sale at £5 per box of 100. Medium & Large in stock, XSmall, Small & XLarge coming in tomorrow.
Although normally closed Mondays, I'll be in today 1:00-5:00, primarily to hand out / change jewellery in time for school going back.

I'll be at work 12:30-2:30 this afternoon (Sunday) to deep clean the piercing studio if anyone wants to pick up clear studs for school.
Looking for an electrician for (hopefully) a small job. Drilling a hole I managed to chunk a mains cable and need a junction box fitted if that would be ok, or possibly a cable replaced if not.
Clear plastic ear studs for school are now in. Call in for a free pair.
Due to customer feedback, we are replacing most of our nose piercing range. People say they want smaller studs, or studs that will sit flatter on the skin, or more dainty styles, or black, or rose gold.
As most people who come here want needle piercings, we'll also be reducing the number of Medisept (nose gun) styles from all 15 to the 6 most popular.
Tue-Thu 1-5 and Fri 10-7 we'll be offering the old ones at a fiver while they last.
We are getting a new digital phone system installed. The new phones will be delivered and set up early next week with a temporary number, with the current number set to be transferred over to the new system in about 2 weeks.
For clients, during normal opening hours, you won't notice any difference but it means out of hours we'll still be able to help with "press 1 for opening hours, 2 to leave a message, or for EMERGENCIES ONLY, such as if you need jewellery removed for an emergency scan, press 3 to connect to my mobile.
Congrats to everyone who got the A level grades they needed or hoped for. If you got A*A*A or better, or you met your offer from Cambridge or the other place, you can have a free piercing on me.
