🎯 WHAT A WAY TO FINISH JDC VOLTS SERIES 7.
The final two events of the series took place at Hotshots Sports Bar on 23rd and 30th August, and they gave us plenty to be proud of at Hotshots Academy.
The big story was Zach Langley, who produced an outstanding finish to the series by winning both Event 7 and Event 8.
Back-to-back titles. Two very different tournaments. And a seriously impressive level of consistency when it mattered.
🏆 EVENT 7 — 23RD AUGUST
Zach came through his group with 4 wins from 5, averaging 69.97, before making his way through a tough knockout.
He beat Austin Mitchell 3–2 in the quarter-final, averaging 62.17, before another close battle in the semi-final saw him beat Zach Joyce 3–2, averaging 65.97.
Then came the final.
Against fellow Hotshots Academy player Mason Lyon, Zach produced his best performance of the event, winning 3–0 with an 80.52 average.
His Event 7 numbers were:

18 legs won
7 legs lost
8 breaks
A brilliant performance from Zach — and the first of two titles in the final two events of Series 7.
Mason deserves huge credit too, going 5 wins from 5 in the group stage before reaching the final.
🏆 EVENT 8 — 30TH AUGUST
One week later, Zach went again at Hotshots Sports Bar.
This time he went unbeaten in the group stage, winning all four of his matches and finishing top of Group 2 with a 68.65 average.
He then continued that run through the knockout stages.
Quarter-final: beat Kye Butler 3–0 — 67.30 average
Semi-final: beat Mason Lyon 3–1 — 67.47 average
Final: beat Jack Waker 3–0 — 64.41 average
And just like that...
🏆 BACK-TO-BACK JDC VOLTS EVENT WINS.
Across Event 8, Zach recorded:
67.53 average
70.70 first 9
16 x 100+
9 x 140+
0 x 180
17 legs won
3 legs lost
7 breaks
That 17 legs won and just 3 lost really sums up how consistent Zach was across the event.
But as good as those two Sundays were, there was still something bigger to come.
🥇 NUMBER ONE IN THE EAST MIDLANDS
With Series 7 now complete, the final regional rankings have been confirmed — and Zach Langley has finished NUMBER ONE in the East Midlands.
Even better, he won't have to travel far for the next step...
🎯 SATURDAY'S REGIONAL FINAL IS AT HOTSHOTS SPORTS BAR.
And Zach will go into it as the Number 1 seed.
But Zach isn't the only Hotshots Academy player heading there.
Across Series 7, 14 Hotshots Academy players competed, and five finished inside the East Midlands Top 32, securing their places in the Regional Final:

2️⃣0️⃣ Fletcher Cleaver — 20th
2️⃣1️⃣ Austin Mitchell — 21st
2️⃣7️⃣ Evan Parker — 27th
That's 5 out of 14 Hotshots Academy players making it through to the Regional Final.
And that's the bit we're really proud of.
It's not just about one result or one player. It's about seeing 14 young players put themselves out there across the series, compete, learn, improve and gain experience — and then seeing five of them earn a place at the biggest event of the series.
And now they get to do it at home.
For Zach, what a story it has become.
Event 7 winner.
Event 8 winner.
Number 1 in the East Midlands.
Number 1 seed for the Regional Final.
For Mason, Fletcher, Austin and Evan, the opportunity is just as exciting.
Five Academy players will be stepping up to the oche on Saturday, right here at Hotshots Sports Bar, with a place at the next stage on the line.
Whatever happens, we couldn't be prouder of what they've achieved throughout Series 7.
