Members you may be interested in a talk being held at All Saints Church on Alice de la Pole. She held the Manor of Leighton Buzzard from 1415 until her death in 1475, gave All Saints its magnificent Angel Roof in the 1460s, and probably also the recently restored town's Market Cross. But she owned land from Norfolk to the Cotswolds as well, and came close to securing the English throne for her son. Come along to find out more about this remarkable woman and her turbulent life.
