Last night we heard the news that we had all been dreading, that the police had discovered a body in connection with Scott’s disappearance.

As a group we have taken time to process this awful news whilst allowing proper communication and process to continue. Our first and foremost thoughts are with Scott’s family and loved ones.

Within the Bleadon Players family, our love and support is with Louise and Scarlett.

Scott has been part of the Bleadon players for thirty years, joining us as a young child for panto, and then as our sound and lighting engineer. As well as being our technical guru, Scott was an incredible actor. Taking the lead in our most recent production Dial M, with an outstanding performance as Tony, to his emotionally charged performance of Bob in pack of lies. And who could forget silent Bob? Scott was the only actor who could take a silent character and make him the star of the show.

As a group we will take the time, we need to grieve collectively and to process our own personal memories of Scott.

The Bleadon Players stand strong together to support one another and Louise through this most difficult of times.

A massive "Break a Leg" to some of our amazing members Gemma, Tina, Scarlett, Karen and Harry who will all be treading the boards over the next few days for The Wayfarers production of Twelfth Night.

🎭 Important Notice – Twelfth Night (Saturday Performance Cancellation) 🎭

It is with great regret that, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we have had to cancel the Saturday evening performance of Twelfth Night.

We understand this will be disappointing news for those who were planning to join us, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

All ticket holders for the Saturday performance have been contacted and refunds have been processed automatically.

The remaining performances will continue as scheduled, and we look forward to welcoming audiences to The Theatre in the Hut throughout the week.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of local theatre.

The Bleadon Players are extremely sad and worried that our friend and member Scott is missing. He left his home in the village on 23/07/26 at just after 17.40 and hasn't been in contact since.

Scott has been a huge part of Bleadon Players for over 30 years and our love and support go out to his family and closest friends, especially fellow Bleadon Players Louise and Scarlett.

We have taken time to reflect as a group and with their full support we are carrying on with the current production of Vicar of Dibley but we do so also knowing he would absolutely say 'the show must go on'.

There is a Police appeal for any information that will help them find Scott.

After a short break, rehearsals for The Vicar of Dibley are back up and running, and the cast are once again hard at work bringing the much-loved residents of Dibley to life.

With plenty of laughs, memorable moments, and village chaos on the way, we can't wait to welcome audiences back for what promises to be a fantastic production.
