Duncan Park: cityscape watercolour workshop

Duncan Park says: 'I am primarily a watercolour artist and take my inspiration from the sea working mainly from life. Watercolour is a great medium for a plein air approach to painting due to its portability and immediacy.'

Following our Open Exhibition, we're delighted to share the three prize-winning paintings: Abstract, Chairman's Choice and Visitors' Choice, plus the other top choices by our visitors. Well done to all the artists and thank you to all the visitors who chose their favourite.

Our brilliant Open Exhibition ended yesterday with a Meet the Artist session with Jack Dickson, a relaxed, informative and interesting session which everyone enjoyed. Thank you Jack for being our fabulous guest artist this year, thank you to everyone who visited, all the artists who showed their work and the newly refubished Corn Exchange for providing a beautiful venue. Huge thanks also to everyone who worked so hard to put this exhibition together: our committee, our members, our curator, our selection panel and our supporters. It's been a great success and we look forward to doing it all again next year.

This morning is your last chance to visit our Open Exhibition and also meet Jack Dickson in person, chat to him about his work, the inspiration behind his paintings and the stories hidden within them. Don't miss out, come down and see us!

We're open until 5pm today and 10-1pm tomorrow and don't forget that Jack Dickson will be with us from 10.30-12 tomorrow to chat about his extraordinary portraits. Do drop in - we'd love to see you.

We have a treat for you, not to be missed! Come and meet Jack Dickson on Saturday, 22 August, 10.30-12.00. Look a little deeper into his extraordinary portraits, see the personal stories within the paintings and learn about Jack's techniques. We look forward to seeing you there.

Our Open Exhibition is open all week, 10-5 Monday-Friday, and 10-1 on Saturday 22 August. There are some stunning paintings as well as plenty of cards to buy, so do drop in and see us.

A rare opportunity to see some by Jack Dickson Artist in his home town of Blandford Forum. Open daily until Saturday 22 August.

A fabulous start to our Open Exhibition today, with the Preview attended by the Mayor of Blandford, Cllr Colin Stevens, and his wife, and our guest artist, Jack Dickson Artist. Thank you so much to all who joined us this evening and we look forward to seeing many more of you during the course of the week. Open 10-5pm until Friday and 10-1pm Saturday, 22 August.

The hanging team have been busy today, getting ready for our Open Exhibition tomorrow. We are delighted to have Jack Dickson Artist as our guest artist and are grateful for support from SK Picture Framing and Oldfield's Embroidery & Print. There are some stunning works from our members and friends so do come and visit. The Preview Evening is 5-7pm tomorrow, Saturday, and the exhibition will run until next Saturday. We'd love to see you.
