Euro Theme Park Archive is a volunteer project bringing together theme park history across Europe, currently mainly the UK 1970s–2000 and slowly expanding. We always research first hand to share the discovery in our videos and features, we aim to offer a real insight into the attraction industry's past. For all fans of Alton Towers' Haunted House, Duel and The Curse at Alton Manor, we've just made a new page to share the ride's complete history and explore its making in full. Go follow at Haunted House Alton Towers !

After researching the attraction for 10 years for the Haunted House documentary, I realised we have a scary amount of material that was too much detail for this page, including a lot that still hasn't been seen. So this page will be a place to put it all to explore at your own pace, plus our material on Duel, interviews, and more.

Though The Haunted House is just one chapter in Alton Towers' long history, the ride was a huge (special) interest of mine when I was younger and when I began to research it for the video, it turned out to have such a complex history that it took years of hard effort, travel, interviewing and sleuthing to piece together its full picture.

I couldn't have done it without the incredible support of the teams that built the original ride who I had gotten to know well through the years and I will forever be very grateful to for their trust and generosity!

Beautiful footage of the now closed Noah's Ark at Blackpool Pleasure Beach with all its animated figures. The figures are all still there but no longer move and the attraction building is now adapted into the park entrance turnstiles.

We've recently handed over our Sundown Adventureland Archive page on Sundown Adventureland to Josh who'll continue to run it. Josh is very familiar and enthusiastic about the park and we will continue to help and research Sundown's great history for the page!

Who remembers Hocus Pocus Hall at Chessington World of Adventures! This was a quirky blacklight walkthrough using a special 3D UV effect with 3D glasses and ending with a mirror maze, built inside the park's original manor house.
