Hi! My name is Ali & I'm the creator of Dance Space! A little about me.....
I'm 39, Blackpool born, wild haired, life enthusiast, with a fondess for diet coke consumption. The owner of The Crown Ballroom & Monarchy Studio. Creative Director for theatre & TV, ballroom coach, choreographer & generally an introverted eccentric who believes she can fix the world!
It's lovely to virtual meet you!
I wanted to bring to life a fully inclusive performance festival, giving absolutely everyone the chance to perform.
Shows & festivals can be ridiculously expensive, especially for smaller dance schools & groups. Theatre Hire alone can be eye-watering. Add into that the exclusivity that can arise through costs, age, abilities & additional needs.
That's where Dance Space is different.
Affordable, fully inclusive & we firmly believe in collaboration!
We want to build a dance community that supports, cheers each other on & brings opportunity to you. I know it can be done!
We just need you!
Remember.......the best collaboration happens when creative minds collide!

Dance Space is our fully inclusive performance festival that focuses on collaboration & showcasing talent, rather than competition!
We bring together dance schools, performance teams & musical theatre performers to shine like stars & perform together on an epic stage!

Each group gets an equal amount of time to perform, in a theatre that might be out of reach for smaller schools. We are fully inclusive, meaning that age, abilities & additional needs are not an issue! We are welcoming everyone to the stage!

Hayley Kay has been a familiar voice in Lancashire for many years having spent over twenty five years presenting local radio and can currently be heard every weekend on BBC Radio Lancashire and BBC Radio Cumbria, as well as Coastal Radio DAB on the Fylde Coast.

As well as radio, Hayley is an accomplished event host and over the years has presented such prestigious events as Lytham Festival, Blackpool Illuminations Switch On, Miss Blackpool & many more. She hosted both The Queenโ€™s Platinum Jubilee Concert and The Kingโ€™s Coronation Concert on Blackpoolโ€™s Comedy Carpet and is already looking forward to getting back on the Promenade to host the World Fireworks Championships for the twelfth year this Autumn.

Hayley trained in dance until she was 16 and, in more recent years, has starred in pantomime at Blackpoolโ€™s Grand Theatre.
