A new exhibition by 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗖𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝗔𝗥𝗣𝗦 𝗙𝗕𝗜𝗣𝗣 is opening on 24 November 2025, 6pm, at HIVE Arts in Blackpool and members of the The Royal Photographic Society are invited to attend.

𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙍𝙋𝙎 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙨 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚.

𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 showcases a striking series of cyanotypes on glass. Using one of the earliest photographic printing techniques, Annemarie transforms light and chemistry into vivid blue compositions that explore memory, grief, and fragility. Annemarie brings deep technical understanding and experience to her work while embracing the unpredictability of analogue processes.

Her practice is rooted in experimentation and the poetic possibilities of photography. Created without the use of a traditional camera and printed directly onto glass using an agar/arrowroot emulsion, the works in 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 hover between image and object, photograph and sculpture. The transparency of the medium allows light to pass through and reshape each piece, creating a shifting visual experience that changes with its surroundings.
