💔 Important Update 💔

We are absolutely devastated to share that there has been a fire at the play area. At this time, the building and play area have been completely destroyed. We are still waiting for further information and working closely with the relevant services to understand what has happened.

This place was built with so much love, hard work, and dedication, and we are truly heartbroken.

To all customers who currently have parties or bookings with us, please don’t worry. All deposits are safe and secured and will be refunded as soon as possible. We kindly ask for your patience whilst we work through everything over the coming days.

We will keep everyone updated as soon as we have more information and know what the future holds.

💛 A Little Update from Smart Play 💛

Hey everyone,

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately, and we wanted to be honest about why. Over the past year, our rent and bills have gone up dramatically, and like so many other small family-run businesses, we’ve really tried to keep everything exactly as it was for as long as possible. 💔

We’ve spent weeks crunching numbers, hoping things would settle, and doing everything we could to avoid changes — but to keep Smart Play running the way you all know and love it, we’ve had to make some adjustments.

From today onwards, all of our previous party packages are no longer available (apart from any existing bookings already in place). Instead, we’ve introduced one brand-new package — carefully put together to still give you the best possible experience, amazing value, and magical memories for your little ones. ✨

This hasn’t been an easy decision at all, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported us, celebrated with us, and made Smart Play what it is today. We truly hope you understand why we’ve had to make these changes and that you’ll continue to support our small family business as we keep creating those special moments for your children. 💕

WOW! *long post alert* 🔔

What a month it’s been.. we’ve been quieter on parties but that’s always the case in the summer holidays, as people are away and busy as it’s always nice to be outside in the nicer weather, of course! We’ve made it up with having 3 nurseries come weekly to use the space, and Play Inclusion Project who have been over the summer as a safe space for their beautiful kids to have a great time. On top of all this we have squeezed in a free Thursday each week to try and help local families get out of the house with their kids and do something that doesn’t have to cost them a penny, and the turn out have been unbelievable. I can’t thank everyone enough for the support we’ve had over these holidays. I had my first ever free Saturday yesterday, so silly me decided to open the play area to the public, and it went crazy, I didn’t expect the turn out that happened, I took all my crazy kids and only one member of staff thinking it would only be a chill few people that came… but I was so wrong 🤣🤣

So I do want to apologise if anyone was wondering about the screaming, crying mental kids hanging off the cafe gate, and the lady behind the counter barely coping, that’s just me and my kids.. that’s why I rarely open to the public anymore as people yesterday can see what a struggle it actually is owning a play area and having a very young family, it’s super rewarding, but also so hard 🤣

BUT HUGE HUGE THANK YOUS to everybody who turned up actually paid to come in, bought food/drinks/snacks in the cafe, it’s appreciated more than anybody knows and im forever thankful!

But most of all im so thankful to my partner Steve, because without him, I couldn’t do any of it, he makes sure every single chair is at the perfect angle, every table is the right way, all the sweeties and snacks in the cafe look great on the counter, and also keeps it fully stocked at all times 🙈❤️ on days im struggling with the kids, he opens up and make sure everything’s is ready to go for the staff to come (also big up my best friend Georgi as well, she does every single party like a boss, does all the oil changes and big kitchen cleans so I can stay at home with the Brady bunch 🩷) he is just my 🌍 and more, so thank you

So all the love in the world to my family, my customers and my followers for spreading the word and the love on the play area and making it all possible 🥰 ###
