So what actually is Arcade Club Blackpool?
Fair question, especially in Blackpool, where “arcade” can mean anything from a glorious old penny falls machine to a grabber that has been emotionally abusing families since 1998.
This is a bit different. Arcade Club Blackpool is a proper free play arcade just off the prom, packed with classic games, modern games, pinball, racing games, shooters, rhythm games, basketball, air hockey, Japanese cabinets, old favourites, new favourites, and at least one game that will make a grown adult say, “I used to be amazing at this,” before immediately proving that ain't the case any longer!
Here’s the important bit. You pay once to get in, then the machines are free to play.
All of them. So there's no chance of the day slowly turning into a small financial incident. No coins, no tokens, just a start button waiting to be pushed.
Current entry prices:
Adults: £16
Children: £8
Family ticket: £40 (2 Adults + 2 Children)
Under 5s: free
For that, you can stay and play for hours. Actual hours, because there's no time limits at Arcade Club. You can wander from Pac-Man to OutRun to Time Crisis to pinball to air hockey. Basically, you can lose track of time completely, then realise you have somehow become personally invested in beating a game older than some members of staff.
There’s food. there’s drink, there’s a bar. There’s also parking and its totally free for all our visitors. Most importantly, there are loads of games, hundreds of em.
It is, in the most straightforward possible terms, a ridiculously good value day out in Blackpool!
