Well I didn’t come first but I did come third in painting of a local scene. I wasnt very happy with this as I wasn’t well when painting this and almost gave up. But I preserved and I got there! Lesson there, don’t give up.I love to try something I don’t normally paint. I wasn’t sure what the man was doing in the painting but I popped him in as I like to have something which makes the street a little lived in. I went past the road a few weeks later and the front door and the little side door had all been painted grey. So I captured a moment. I’m not doing enough painting as I help so many including my son who had a long period of homelessness. He needs support . So my time is divided but I know with care it’s important to create a space for us.
