We provide a vibrant platform for aspiring young entrepreneurs to learn, grow, and showcase their ideas. Our group https://www.facebook.com/groups/kidzfair
🎉What is KidzFair? KidzFair is your local event which brings businesses, parents and children together
⭐ from local drama club to singing coaches;
🧮 from mental maths to entertainers and magicians;
🎾 from tennis clubs to wellbeing trainers
. We’re bringing together all the local providers that work with children and for children. On the day, we will run workshops for children and tester classes. Entertainment, food and music – everything for a perfect family day-out! At KidzFair you’ll also meet local young entrepreneurs, who found the courage and stamina to launch their very own business, tell the community about their idea and learn how to earn money!
🎉When and where KidzFair will be held?
📍 Chelmsford, Autumn 2022
🎉 How to become a stall holder? Our stand spaces are:
- £30 for a 6ft x 5 ft stand space,
- £50 for a 12ft x 5ft stand space. All prices include tables and chair, and there is no cost for electricity (please note spaces with electricity are limited). Businesses will have the opportunity to run a workshops/taster lesson at no extra cost. Online and offline advertising available as well. Ask for more details!
🎉 Is KidzFair free to attend? The entry is £1 per adult, free for children. Tickets can be purchased on the day.
🎉My child has a business idea, how can they participate? Confirm your interest by sending us an email at [email protected] and we will send you an application form. Once the application is approved, the applicants will receive a welcome pack with further information and the payment for the stall will be taken.
🎉What’s the fee to participate for the young entrepreneurs? There is a fee of £15 from all accepted businesses run by children 7-17 years old. The stalls are limited, and this is to reserve their spot at the fair. Also, as part of the process, the young entrepreneurs will learn how to plan a budget, understand how much they need to earn to cover for all their expenses and time, how to raise funds if required for the business, how to spread the word about their business and the event, how to sell and how to speak to customers.
🎉 What children’s businesses will be accepted? Entrepreneurs launching their own products will be prioritised over businesses selling second-hand items or reselling bought stock. We do, however, accept businesses who add value to second-hand items – for example, customising second-hand clothes, re-using materials to make a brand new product.
🎉What are the rules for young entrepreneurs? KidzFair is a great opportunity and platform for the young entrepreneurs to share their great ideas, and to learn how to create and run a business. Whilst we expect that parents will help, being with the application or overall participation, the young entrepreneurs will have to do as much as possible by themselves. Participants will also be responsible for set up, customer interaction and sales.
🎉 Will there be prizes? More information on categories and prizes to be announced at a later date. The prizes in each category will be awarded at the end of the fair. All approved entries will be automatically entered into the competition. Judges will ask the entrepreneurs questions about the fundamentals of their business, such as how they came up with product prices and who their target market is. Judges will also evaluate how much of the business reflects their own work (versus parents’).
