A huge well done to these 8 dancers who have just completed 4 days of dance creating a new piece of work that will be performed as part of the Next Generation Festival at the Royal Opera House next week.

They have been guided through creative tasks and shown wonderful creativity, imagination and teamwork to create a 7 minute piece based on the ballet Giselle. They will perform as part of a company of 30 young dancers from the North East.

We are very proud of them and can’t wait to watch the performance next week. London here we come!

The good news keeps coming! Our lovely Amelia has been offered a waitlist place and online training with the Royal Ballet School Junior Associates.

This is amazing news for Amelia, recognition of her hard work and potential. Amelia is a very hard worker so we know she will seize this opportunity and we can’t wait to watch her progression ❤️

As we look back at last year's show, we're reminded that a dance show is about so much more than costumes, lights and applause.
From our tiniest performers taking their very first steps onto the stage, to our graduating dancers taking their final bows, every dancer gained something far more important than a performance...

For some dancers, it was the moment they found the courage to perform in front of an audience. For others, it was the chance to shine, celebrate years of hard work, and realise just how far they've come.
The stage has a magical way of helping young people grow. It teaches them to believe in themselves, to support one another, and to achieve things they never thought possible.
As we scroll through these photos, we see smiling faces, friendships, achievements, and moments of pure joy. We see dancers growing not just in their dance skills, but as people.
And that's why we do it. ❤️

🩰 Celebrating our Royal Ballet School auditionees 🩰

This week, a group of Buzz dancers received the results of their auditions for the Royal Ballet School Junior Associates Programme.

Auditioning for the programme is a huge achievement in itself. With over 1,000 young dancers auditioning nationally each year, simply having the courage to step into the audition studio and give your best is something to be incredibly proud of.

We are delighted that Nellie, Nyla and Elijah have been offered places on the programme and will begin their Junior Associate training in Newcastle later this year.

We would also like to celebrate Lola, who at just 8 years old impressed the panel and has been placed on the waiting list whilst also being offered access to The Royal Ballet School's online training programme. A fantastic achievement and recognition of her potential.

As teachers, moments like these are special. Not because of the outcome, but because we know the journey behind it. The extra practice, the determination to keep going when things feel difficult, and the bravery it takes to put yourself forward.

We are incredibly proud of every dancer who auditioned this year. Whether the letter said yes, not yet, or try again next time, you have all shown courage, resilience and a genuine love of dance.

That is what matters most.

Congratulations to Nellie, Nyla, Elijah and Lola, and a huge thank you to all of the families who support their children's dreams every step of the way. ❤️

⭐️ Charlotte - absolutely beautiful ballet work. Your progression is wonderful to watch ❤️

⭐️ Eleanor - Eleanor knows her acro skills terminology very well including the little details and what is required for each skill!

⭐️ Jessica - Jessica knew her theatre routine so well and had wonderland expression throughout it too!

Dance On ✨

When we launched Dance On, we knew there was a need for it. What we didn’t realise was just how much it would come to mean to the dancers who walk through our doors each week.

Week after week, the same dancers return to their space to move, create, connect and simply enjoy dancing again. There is no pressure, just a shared love of dance.

When I first started teaching, all I wanted to do was pass on my love of dance. That feeling you get when you dance is just magical. The joy, freedom, expression and connection it brings is something that stays with you long after you leave the studio.

At Buzz Dance Company, our number one mission is to instil a lifelong love of dance. Looking around the room at these young adults, many of whom we trained as children, fills us with so much pride. We watched them take their first dance steps, grow through childhood and their teenage years, and now choose to come back because dance is still a part of who they are.

For us, this is what success looks like. Not trophies or titles, but dancers who leave our studio with a love of dance that lasts a lifetime.

Dance On is proof that this vision is becoming a reality. ❤️

✨ DANCE ON THIS WEEK ✨

We're excited to welcome Kyle to Dance On this week for a special Lyrical Dance Class.

Kyle is a graduate of Buzz Dance Company who has gone on to enjoy a successful professional performing career, appearing in productions around the world. He has recently completed a contract performing in Cats the Musical and is getting ready to jet off on his next contract very soon!

Dance On is for adults aged 18+ with previous dance experience who would love the opportunity to step back into the studio, reconnect with their love of dance, and enjoy moving again in a supportive and welcoming environment.
