Andy Irvine & Quilty bring Irish and Swedish traditional music together — a new chapter in Irvine's world-music legacy. Don't miss this rare chance to see a folk icon share the stage with Scandinavia's leading interpreters of Irish traditional music.

Andy Irvine needs little introduction: a founding member of Sweeney's Men and Planxty, and one half of legendary duos and supergroups from Patrick Street to Mozaik to Usher's Island, he's been called "a tradition in himself." Over 55+ years he's carried the torch for Irish music from Dublin to stages the world over — and he's still touring new pastures.

Joining him are Quilty, Sweden's foremost Irish folk band, twice nominated Band of the Year at the national Folk & World Music Gala. Expect sea shanties, emigration songs, love ballads and salt-tinged tales of the Atlantic, woven together with the traditional music of their own homeland.

Two countries, one shared musical soul — this is a night for anyone who loves a well-told story and a well-turned tune.

Meet five extraordinary Scottish women brought to life through song: Mary Garden, Williamina Patting Fleming, Màiri Mhòr nan Òran, Violet Jacob and Moira Shearer.

🎺 ANNOUNCING: SNYJO: Big Band Jazz in the Afternoon 🎺

We're excited to welcoming the Scottish National Youth Jazz Orchestra for a very special concert in our auditorium next spring. Formed in 2002, the SNYJO gives Scotland’s best young jazz talents a grounding in the work of jazz masters from Ellington to Corea, Basie to Shorter, and from Miles to Metheny.

Past members include winners of the Scottish Album of the Year Award, the BBC Young Jazz Musician title and the Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year competition, having also registered successes in the Scottish Jazz Awards, the Jazz FM Awards, and nominations in the Mercury Prize. The orchestra’s albums have won praise internationally and regularly feature in radio programmes across the world, and the class of 2026/27 continues to impress audiences with individual and collective prowess, giving performances that guarantee excitement, creativity and grooves to make you move.

As part of the new Beatrix Potter™ Garden Trail, we've created a dedicated free Outdoor Learning & Play Area where children and families can connect with nature through imaginative play, storytelling and hands-on discovery.

Inspired by Beatrix Potter's love of the natural world, this exciting wee area of the garden encourages curiosity, creativity and outdoor adventure.

There's a mud kitchen, a tic-tac-toe, slates to draw on and mushroom seats and some of Potter's beloved stories.

Whether you're following the trail, enjoying family time outdoors, or learning about local wildlife, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Thanks to Perth and Kinross Council Community Environment Challenge Fund for the funding for this project and to Brilliant Trails for making and installing it!
