This is a notoriously difficult skill shot - Skill Shot 2 on Jaws Pinball.

On some machines you can get it to just about peak out below the pop bumper and roll down but on the one in the Pinball Factory it is easier to get it to get up to, but not around the reel and then drop back down the lane where it should just squeeze past the pop bumber giving you that second skill shot, 10 million points and 5 more seconds ball save.

Give it a try this weekend at the Pinball Factory!

Tuesday night is our Pinball Beginners Night and League Night.

This week we have the league championships so there should be some great games to watch if spectating is your thing and lots of us on site to help if you are new to the hobby.

If you are league curious the new league starts next week on the 9th June and runs for six weeks. Your four best scores count and the championship is on the 7th week.

This is a friendly event and has people of all skill ranges so don't worry if you are not quite yet a pinball wizard - most of us are also not quite at wizard level yet - but it is all good fun!

£10 for unlimited pinball from 5pm to 9pm.

Pinball Tip 3 - Ski Pass / Flip Pass

Hey folks. Okay, our third pinball tip helping you slow things down and gain that all important ball control so you can make better shots.

There are two parts to this one so lets break them down.

1. Ski Pass

If the ball is coming down the in-lane, with enough pace, you can simply hold up the flipper and the ball will jump over to the other side where you can catch it and cradle it (or just make a more controlled shot).

2. Flip Pass / Nudge

If the ball is coming a little too slow and won't make the hop over to the other side you have a few options here.

Firstly you can nudge the machine up just as the ball first hits the flipper to give it a little more (see the first of the two videos in the comments).

Secondly, you can use a micro flip when the ball hits the end of the flipper to give the ball a tiny little bump to make it over (see the second video in the comments).

Some tips:

1. Practice - every machine is different
2. Experiment with nudges and microflips and see what works best for a given situation.

This is another simple skill that will help you slow things down, gain control and improve your game!

Remember, the best way to practice these techniques is at a freeplay pinball arcade like Pinball Factory! :)

Another tip next week!

P.S. Credit to Jack Danger aka Deadflip for putting these videos together to help us all get better!
