This term we are offering a new morning class on. Thursday with Imogen.
This class is suitable for complete beginners, as well as those who have some experience of making with clay.
In this six week course you will learn some throwing on the wheel, you will also learn some hand-building skills.
You will get to apply surface decoration and glazes to your pots, and take home your finished creations!

A limited number of spaces have become available in our open access members’ studio!
in order to become a member, we ask that you take at least one six week course with us, to learn “good studio practice”.

Our six week courses start every day next week.

Monday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings.

Except for Charles Gannon Austin’s class, on a Thursday evening, all of our courses are suitable for beginners.

Sundragon’s class sizes are limited to 8 souls, - and with some people returning, the number of brand new students is often less that 8, giving new students plenty of time for tutor attention.

Ian Gwynne , Ian teaches our wheelwork classes.
*
Neil Hotchin , Neil teaches wheelwork and handbuilding, as do Kate Wade: Potter , Kate, Imogen Richards Imogen, aImogen Richardsmith James.

James T. Smithking membership, once your tutor says that you are ready to work independently in the members’ studio, if you ask, they will add your name to the waiting list.

Each Tuesday explores a different aspect of throwing — from strong foundations through to altered forms, decoration, and glazing.

, Kate Wade, and , Ian Gwynne, teach our Wednesday classes, which run in the afternoon, 13.30-16.00, and in the evening, 19.00-21.30.

In Ian’s class, it’s all about creating on the potters’ wheel, which you will also be taught in Kate’s class, as well as some handbuilding skills, too!

Both tutors also teach surface decoration and glazing techniques, during these six week courses, which start, Wednesday 10th June 2026.

Our class sizes are small, so there’s lots of tutor time, too!
