It’s Grand Finals weekend!

Sending so much love to our two pupils representing the school this weekend at the Grand finals. Sadly we couldn’t take all of our qualifying routines as many people are away on holiday, but we know Megan and Freya will make us all proud!

Freya is competing in 3 sections today: C lyrical, C modern and C acro solos.

Megan is competing in G Modern solo tomorrow.

We have fabulous assistant teachers on a Saturday that do more than demonstrate for us, and our lower school adore them all. The French ballet terminology is still a work in progress, rights girls? 🤣

We’ve just received this gorgeous image of our senior girls who had the opportunity to perform as dancers in a professional show back in March. With only 2 weeks to learn an 8 minute routine, dancing both on stage with a live band and in the audience, these girls did a fabulous job - True professionals!

This international dance day we want to celebrate more than just the routines, technique and progress of these young performers. Because long after they take their final bows and move onto the next chapter after dance, the friendships remain. Dance friends are unique. They see you at your best and worse, they’re not in the school drama, they let you be your authentic and silly self with no judgement.

Dance friends are the ones you keep for life 💕

An amazing start to the Summer term back working on our July IDTA exams, new competition work, and finished off with our April ETP session. Few little clips from yesterdays training - hard work is definitely paying off now for those who are consistently attending the extra monthly sessions 💪🏼
