Do you or someone you know have percussion equipment that is collecting dust, unused or just taking up too much space? Consider donating your equipment to us!

We are particularly looking for snare drums that we can refresh and provide as an affordable option for someone looking to try the BDB or one of our other groups.

All funds raised are used to support the running of , the organisation that hosts the group.

At last week's BDB we did some sight reading practice, creating new patterns and switching them up so we could practice understanding how rhythms interact with each other within a bar.

No matter your level of understanding the BDB is a great place to learn to play, read and perform with other players. Come along and try your first session for free!

After a summer break we're starting back up again this week!

We've got some exciting changes that we're making this year:

Firstly, the BDB is running weekly now! Feedback from our members indicated that weekly sessions would help with learning and retaining new music. BAM! Weekly sessions!

Secondly, Reuben's been working on practice and rehearsal videos so that members can practice with specially catered resources at home.

Thirdly, we'll be pushing for instrument donations soon. We hope to be able to offer refurbished drums, and hardware for rental or purchase. We hope this will allow people to obtain their own instrument at a price point that anyone can afford.

Lastly, the BDB learning resources page on the website will be made public in the near future allowing people to access materials that can help them in learning technique, cadences and maintenance of their instruments.
