Dear Birmingham Zoukers. Below is a link to several new videos I've created for "Solo Practice" in Brazilian Zouk. These videos together are 90 minutes and teach you the same techniques that I use in my regular classes. While you have time at home, please PRACTICE and get your Zouk on.

Hey Dancers of Birmingham!!! It’s been years since any official events have taken place! BUT maybe this can change!!

This year in August I’m organising a Zouk Camp in Switzerland and I am curious to see if we can bring a Birmingham group along. Its a weekend of dancing and other activities and it takes place beside a beautiful lake.

ZOUK BIRMINGHAM NEWS

There's no ZOUK class tonight. We're taking a summer break from weekly guest teachers/Zouk Lessons over July/August (because so many people are away/the campus is so quiet) but we WILL be back in September with weekly classes and we're going to be holding a few socials/workshops/practices (already exciting plans for a workshop in July) now and then. Also, if you're keen to get together and just practice now and then do post your ideas here (let's meet in the park or go to the Chaplaincy for a bit of no cost social dancing?).

Team ZB will be doing their first Birmingham based performance of their choreo with Arthur Araujo Gontijo this Wednesday at Zaras (we'll be performing about 10.15 pm). It's just £4 if you go after 9.30 pm, £6 if you do the whole evening with lessons from 8.30!

No formal lesson this week (Arthur is back next week on Wednesday 17 February), but if any of you want to pop in this week and watch the choreo team rehearse / have a social dance when we finish at 9:30, please come by: Villa Rose Tavern, Jewellery quarter.

Last ZOUK night of 2015 will be Tuesday 1 December at the Victoria (9.00 pm, no lesson just social).

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!! See you again from mid-January. To cheer you up (without ZOUK), remember that Arthur Gontijo will be coming to teach Zouk/Samba three times a month from February 2016!!!
