Hall Green Art Information on Exhibitions and Events organised by Hall Green Art Society For local artists and people developing their skills to meet and discuss art.

Meeting at Chatterton Hall (Church of Ascension), School Rd, Hall Green, Birmingham, B28 8JQ. Sessions take place on 2nd Wednesday evening each month 7.30- 9.30. Demonstrations are by professional artists, followed by practical sessions later in the month. Hall Green Artists hold exhibitions at points throughout the year. Artists of all abilities and ages are most welcome. Membership only £30.00 per year, visitors £5.00 per session.

September's art demonstration will be on Wednesday 9th September. Leanne Ellis will be showing how she does landscapes in acrylic paint.

He will be focussing on painting, some of his own work, along with examples of art history.

Our artist this month is Julie Swinsco. She is famous for her cityscape paintings of Birmingham at night. She works in oils, acrylics and pastels.
She says she has " a major preoccupation in the portrayal of the fine qualities of light." Her demonstration will be about painting the urban environment.

Hannah Smith's demo is all about finding your way intuitively in acrylics. She love to paint expressive abstracts, responding to feelings or memories that arise from nature as her starting point.

Saturday 25th April, join us at Cambridge Road Church from 10am to 4pm to enjoy looking at art by local artists. Sketching, homemade cakes and art for sale.
