So tomorrow is going to be a busy busy day.
Its the first day of Arts Fest in Birmingham and Forest will be about for people to come have a look, it will also be in Brindleyplace next week so if you miss it tomorrow don’t worry!
The launch event has a whole schedule:
1. Walk with Forest between 4:30 – 5:30 from Gas Street to Digbeth Canal at Edible Eastside.
2. In Conversation with Beth Derbyshire and Cathy Wade, the first of the Beyond The Pale talks between 5:30 – 6:30
The public are invited to walk with The Rootless Forest as it begins it’s journey along the West Midlands canal system, followed by in conversation with Beth Derbyshire, Tara McAllister-Viel and Cathy Wade. This event explores the narratives, shifts and occupation of space that unfold with The Rootless Forest’s journey from Gas Street to its temporary resting point in Digbeth.
The next Beyond The Pale talk will take place the following week

In Conversation at Ikon.
Ikon hosts the second Beyond the Pale talk, in association with The Rootless Forest, bringing together an exciting panel of speakers: Tim Eastop, Arts Development Manager, Canal & River Trust, Beth Derbyshire, Wheatley Fellow BIAD 2012, Kate Self, Learning Co-ordinator, Ikon and Cathy Wade, Edible Eastside. This panel discussion explores canals and inland waterways as places for adventure and cultural export. There is also the opportunity to visit The Rootless Forest which will be moored nearby in Brindleyplace.
