Join Infinite Opera and Grand Union to co-create and build stories and poems of Digbeth’s past and future at the BRIG Cafe✨
This workshop is part of a series bringing together different communities from Digbeth, to build cultural solidarity and mutual understanding🤝
These will inform the creation of Infinite Opera’s upcoming operatic endeavour for summer 2026, an ambitious multi-site community performance marking the redevelopment of the Typhoo factory 🎶🫖🏭 In this workshop we will explore ways of expressing through poetry and texts for music, uncovering the stories, characters and hopes of Digbeth 🖋️

📝 Join experimental opera company Infinite Opera with Birmingham Friends of the Earth at BRIG Cafe, Digbeth, for a free poetry and libretto writing workshop.
Dreaming up Digbeth’s past stories and imagined futures through music and poetry, this participatory workshop will inform Infinite Opera’s ambitious, multi-site commission in Summer 2026. 🎶
