I have finally finished my painting. It is titled 'Family life' Japanese snow monkeys.
I have used several reference photos to create the composition for this painting and it has taken me almost 3 months to complete.

Progress on my painting is now getting slow. I am still working on the background rocks on the right hand side and the snow above them but not getting very far fast. I still have to do a lot more work on the new sleeping monkey but am waiting until the background is completed, then I will take another look at the water and reflections and finally make amendments to the monkeys themselves.
I hope you like it so far. I actually started with the sketch on February 1st so its taken 2 months and 9 days so far and a lot of paint.

I'm loving painting this but my days seem to go so fast. It's like I get up and before I know it I'm going back to bed but that's what creating does, it takes your mind off everything else. Just wish the day didn't go so fast. Anyway any likes, comments or follows will be greatly appreciated.

This is my new painting called 'snow monkeys' which is still work in progress. This is about 4 weeks work. It is acrylic paint on canvas and measures 161cm x 100cm so is very big.
