40 years today since the first night of The Click Club at Burberries, opened by Terry and Gerry (technically opened by The Daffodils as they were the first band on), Hundreds of bands played there including Pop Will Eat Itself, The Wonder Stuff, Pixies, James, Jane's Addiction, Ride, Jesus Jones, Manic St Preachers, St Etienne, My Bloody Valentine, Primal Scream and many more.
Burberries was also the start of my 'Alternative Discos' as they were called in those days which turned into Freak Scene at The Institute then Snobs and then turned into Blast Off at Wolverhampton Civic, which still makes an appearance every so often.
