Unpredictable weather. ☔ Gatecrashing ducks. 🦆 Overhead planes. 🛩️ Screeching peacocks. 🦚

Just a standard day at the office for a tour production team, as Head of Stage Management, Alan Bull, and Costume Designer, Jennet Marshall explain!

Taking “She Stoops to Conquer” on an open-air tour across the West Midlands means our team has to be ready for anything. Jennet has ‘costume care on the move’ down to a fine art, while Alan explains how the team will keep the show on the road despite whatever the British summer (and the local wildlife) throws at them!

Come and see the chaos turned into pure theatrical perfection. 🎭✨

It’s ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Jerusalem at Birmingham’s Crescent Theatre- and your chances to catch it are running out!

William Stafford describes Jerusalem perfectly by saying it’s “less about what it means to be English… and more about the loss of our native heritage, our folklore, and mythological figures”.

He goes on to describe it as “a gripping, thoroughly entertaining production, with a captivating anti-hero as its protagonist, supported by a fine ensemble”, and we couldn’t agree more! You’d be mad to miss this cultural phenomenon.

⏳ Must end this Saturday! ⏳

Enter into a world of myth, wonder and low quality drugs as Jez Butterworth's universally acclaimed play "Jerusalem" finally comes to The Crescent Theatre's stage this Saturday.

Join Johnny 'Rooster' Byron and his motley crew of unwashed, unstable, unhinged berserkers as they face off against the forces of modernisation in a green and pleasant Wiltshire forest.

Funny, moving and completely unforgettable, "Jerusalem" is a daring tale of England both as it used to be...and as it is today.

'I've seen a lot of strange things in this wood...'

Jez Butterworth's universally acclaimed play "Jerusalem" is steeped in the history of English folklore - a world where magic is in the air and where giants walk the land.

We talked to members of the cast about the play's magical nature and the characters' love of storytelling, as tales of magical drums and golden stags sit alongside stories of country fair daredevils and drunken debauchery.

"Jerusalem" opens this Saturday and runs until June 20th. Don't miss out!

Johnny 'Rooster' Byron is the chaotic centre of Jez Butterworth's era defining play "Jerusalem".

He's a story weaving, forest dwelling, drug selling Lord of Misrule who rules over a clan of young miscreants. And he might have magical powers...

We sat down with Graeme Braidwood in his own small corner of an English wood to talk about taking on this iconic role in The Crescent Theatre's brand new take on "Jerusalem".
