🥪 Haven't been able to make it down to the Alexandra Piano bar for our Pear slices and looking for something to watch over your lunch break ?

🎥 Our performance will be live streamed in about 15 minutes! An hour of great music spanning the range of 20th and 21st century composition around the theme of '2 voices as one; multiple voices from one'.

🍐 Orchestra in the Shape of a Pear is giving its third instalment of the stripped back Pear Slices series in The Alexandra’s Piano Bar in central Birmingham.

🗣️ A selection of the players from the Orchestra will explore the idea of 2 voices as one; multiple voices from one.

🎶 Come for music by Arvo Pärt, Anton Webern, Gordon Crosse, André Jolivet and Louis Andriessen, as well as new music by Birmingham-based composer, Isa Gibbs.

👻 Expect driving rhythms, implied ghost melodies and homogenous blends of sound spanning the full range of contemporary instrumental composition in a relaxed lunchtime setting.
