Sacred Buzz is a Berlin psych band known for their electrifying live presence and deeply immersive soundscapes. Their sonic palette bridges vintage and modern: garage-rock grit, krautrock repetition, psychedelic drones, and proto-punk drive.

Their debut self-titled vinyl LP is released on Sound Effect Records (Greece) on 9th October 2026. About the upcoming LP:

The album spans 8 tracks across 42 minutes - moving through post-punk, kraut-rock, and psychedelic rock. It was recorded at Monoton Studio (Berlin), mixed by Pablo Thiermann (Chicos de Nazca), and mastered by Pete Maher (Fuzz Club, Bella Union, EMI). The artwork is created by Ardneks, a prolific Indonesian artist known for working with Barcelona Psych Fest 2026, Kikagaku Moyo, Night Beats and Khruangbin. The vinyl pressing of 400 copies (black, colored, and special editions) will be released 9th October 2026 and distributed across EU, UK, and US through Sound Effect Records

Following the recent release of their first single, “Narrows”, US heavy rock outfit Spirit Mother return with “Stranger, You Are”, the second offering from their forthcoming third studio album, Thistle, set for release on September 4, 2026 via Sound of Liberation Records.

Written, recorded and produced by the band themselves in the secluded attic of Armand and SJ Lance's century-old cabin in the high desert of Burns, Oregon, Thistle reflects the raw beauty and quiet isolation of its surroundings. Showcasing the album's dynamic sonic range, “Stranger, You Are” moves effortlessly between towering walls of sound and striking moments of vulnerability, offering another compelling glimpse into the deeply introspective world of Thistle.

"Stranger, You Are is a reckoning: within and without. An exploration of self and surroundings. What are the mechanisms that help you navigate your existence? Can you trust them? Sonically Stranger, You Are encompasses the spectrum of sounds found in Thistle: from a wall of sound to a single raw instrument or voice. In keeping with this theme of self exploration, it is paired with its intro “Ephemeral” which is an improvisation on the song’s central themes. Sweden's NEPHILA have emerged from the shadows with HULDRA, their long-awaited second album, due out August 28 via Majestic Mountain Records.

Three years in the making, HULDRA sees the Arvika collective pushing far beyond the 70s-inspired heavy rock that earned their debut album a P3 Guld Awardnomination for Rock/Metal Album of the Year. The grooves remain, but they're now wrapped in darker textures, towering riffs, haunting vocal harmonies, and an unmistakable sense of cinematic grandeur.

Inspired by the legend of the skogsrå, the mysterious forest spirit of Nordic folklore,HULDRA is a concept album where every song forms another chapter in a larger story. Moving through themes of transformation, identity, power, and humanity's connection to nature, the record blends myth with contemporary reflection, exploring our fascination with the unknown and the tension between freedom and fear.

"It's not just about mythology," explain vocalists Josephine Asker and Linn Edlund. "It's about what the forest spirit represents, our fascination with the unknown and the tension between being drawn to it and fearing it."

Recorded between guitarist Jacob Hellenrud's studio and a remote former orphanage in Lappnäs, the album captures the eerie beauty and untamed spirit of the Scandinavian wilderness, while marking a significant evolution in Nephila's songwriting and sonic identity.

The newly released title track, "HULDRA," perfectly encapsulates this transformation, balancing hypnotic grooves with soaring melodies, crushing guitars, and an atmosphere that feels both mystical and deeply haunting.

HULDRA will be released digitally on August 28 via Majestic Mountain Records Mountain Records, with the vinyl edition following later in the autumn.

Megaton Communion has officially revealed the title and cover artwork for its highly anticipated sophomore album, Three of Cups , produced by Curran Murphy , acclaimed guitarist for Venom Inc.

For fans of heavy music, Murphy's name carries serious weight. Known for his crushing guitar work with Venom Inc. and his long history in the metal scene, Murphy brings his signature production style and decades of experience to Megaton Communion's latest release, helping shape an album that blends massive riffs, desert rock atmosphere, and powerful songwriting.

Gothenburg occult rock collective Terra Black return with their haunting new single, ‘In Stone’, the first offering from their forthcoming album, Mirage, due for release on 18th September.

Steeped in ancient mystery and crushing atmosphere, ‘In Stone’ explores the unsettling pull of forgotten worlds and the unseen forces that continue to shape the present. The song evokes the feeling of being trapped within something timeless – a world that should have ended long ago yet still refuses to release its grip.

"'In Stone' is about the ominous threat of the hidden and otherworldly,” explains the band. “It’s being stuck in something ancient, like you're part of a world that already ended a long time ago, but it's still not finished with you. Old worlds, old beliefs, and everything beneath the surface that refuses to disappear. Forever merged in stone."

Written and recorded over the course of three years, Mirage is Terra Black's most ambitious and immersive work to date. Travelling from roots buried deep beneath the earth, through the ruins of forgotten civilizations and into the silence of space, the album explores shifting states of existence where reality, memory and illusion become increasingly difficult to separate.

Recorded live by the band in Gothenburg, Mirage captures the raw immediacy of Terra Black's performances. Rather than polishing away imperfections, the band embraced natural room ambience and microphone bleed, allowing the recording to retain an honest, organic character that mirrors the weight and intensity of the music itself.

Drawing from atmospheric doom, occult rock and stoner traditions, Terra Black combines towering riffs with haunting vocals, powerful choral arrangements and primal darkness. Inspired by nature, mythology, ancient beliefs and the mysterious corners of human imagination, the album moves effortlessly between the familiar and the unknowable. Like the illusion from which it takes its name, the album constantly shifts perspective, inviting listeners ever deeper into its enigmatic world.

Compared to their previous work, Mirage presents a heavier, darker and more visceral sonic landscape, where ancient forces, forgotten civilizations and cosmic vastness collide.

For the better part of two decades, THE MACHINE have carved out a reputation as one of the most genre-defying acts to emerge from the European underground. Doused in space and soaked in riffs, the power trio of David Eering (guitar/vocals), Chris Both (bass) and Klaas Dijkstra (drums) has continually redefined its sound, balancing a deep-rooted love for stoner rock with excursions into heavy psych, progressive rock, doom, '90s alternative and expansive space rock. As one of the frontrunners of Europe's second wave of stoner and heavy psych, the band established an early landmark with the now cult-classic Solar Corona before continuing to evolve with every release that followed.

Already announced with a surprise full-album performance at this year's Roadburn Festival, Another Sun signals the beginning of a new chapter for THE MACHINE. After nearly two decades as one of Europe's most consistently adventurous heavy rock bands, the trio now steps onto a broader international stage, reaffirming their place alongside legendary Dutch acts like 35007, Beaver and 7Zuma7, while finally bringing their expansive blend of stoner rock, heavy psych and space-driven grooves to a much wider audience.

Portugal's psychedelic rock revelation TRAVO returns with "WASTELAND", their heaviest and most metallic album to date to be issued on October 2nd through London-based cult imprint Fuzz Club. Today, they unleash the title track — a ferocious five-minute descent into fuzz-drenched riffage, pummeling rhythms, and dystopian atmosphere!

Recorded in early 2026 at ARDA Recorders in Porto and produced, mixed and mastered by Jaime Arellano (Ghost, Ulver, Behemoth), TRAVO 's fourth studio album marks a shift away from the fantasy themes of their previous record Astromorph God into something much more personal, palpable and grounded in the anxieties of the present time.

WASTELAND arrives off the back of three years spent touring heavily around Europe, with their notoriously face-melting live show captured on a blazing KEXP session. Looking to keep riding that high, the band took advantage of a rare break in their touring schedule and headed straight for the studio with a newfound intensity and urgency: “The recording session was booked without any composed material, and the whole album ended up being written in a little over one intense month of rehearsals. The pressure of wanting to take a step forward with the next album started to creep in and caused some internal friction. This feeling of urgency naturally carried over into the songs and gave them a character they likely wouldn’t have had in a more relaxed writing environment.”

Across its seven tracks, WASTELAND explores themes of techno-anxiety, disconnection, dystopia, love, death, rebirth, and the search for collective spirituality. Each song is loosely inspired by a different section of T.S. Eliot’s poem ‘The Waste Land’, “whose themes and motifs feel especially relevant today”. Musically, the album incorporates dark psychedelic and industrial influences, fusing them with TRAVO's loud, corrosive, fast-paced songs intertwined with crushing, slow-burning epics. The vocals range from catchy falsetto melodies to full-on growls and screams. The guitar interplay produces either beautiful harmonies or uncanny dissonances. The rhythm section is tight, potent and hypnotic.

Altogether, WASTELAND is an aggressive, genre-bending rock record knocking on metal’s door while still managing to breathe through the chaos. It’s an intense headbanging journey between fast, bad-trip-inducing jams and contemplative ambient passages. Don't miss the debut single and video Burial!
