The Castle and Falcon established itself way back in 1852, and is a proud part of the Molloy Enterprises family run business est.2006 and has been home to live music for decades, hosting legendary acts such as UB40 and Duran Duran whilst also being the epicentre for Birmingham’s punk scene for several years. This stacked punk rock line up lands at The Castle this Saturday 27th June!

The Dirty Nil has always brought a bit of flash and colour to rock ‘n’ roll. Whether it’s the bejeweled stars and lightning bolts emblazoned on frontman Luke Bentham’s stage outfits or the multi-dimensional, psychedelic artwork splashed across album covers, the Hamilton, Ontario-based band likes to add a little flair. But on their fifth album, The Lash, the Nil is stripping it all back. No more flash. No more colour. The slate is getting wiped. Back to basics.

HENGE bring you music from distant planets. We're delighted to have these extra-terrestrial joymongers return to Birmingham for an out of this world performance at the Castle!

The music escapes definition, but occupies a space between rave and prog rock that nobody knew existed. It is energetic, subversive and invigoratingly playful, jovially going ‘where no one has gone before’. Ultimately, HENGE are spreading a message of hope which leaves audiences feeling amused and uplifted in equal measures.

Formed in London in the early 1980s, Test Dept are regarded as one of the pioneering forces of 'industrial music', recognised for their groundbreaking sound and powerful performances that pushed the boundaries of music, art and protest while exploring political and social issues.

Centred around the founding duo of Paul Jamrozy and Gray Cunnington since resurfacing in the mid-2010s, the group recently signed to the Artoffact label and have started to issue a series of carefully curated box sets along with a brand new album targeted for 2026.

Test Dept continue to break down barriers and are sonic material handlers, investigative agitators, authentic industrialists, utilisers and recyclers of society's debris. They engage with the current cultural and political climate, exploring new ways of expression in a strategic programme of actions, and are needed now, more than ever!
