What a way to start the new season! 🎶

We had a brilliant first rehearsal back with Kings Heath Youth Choir and Chamber choir — lots of singing, lots of energy, and some fantastic music already taking shape. We’re very excited to see what this group can do over the coming months!

And if there’s a young singer in your family who’d like to join us, it’s not too late to get involved.

On Monday, Kings Heath Choirs start again! Our Youth Choir has an open rehearsal 6.20-7.30pm. Anyone 12-18 who is curious about singing with us is more than welcome to join!
Our Chamber Choir (ages 15+) is also ready to dive into some exciting rep - and we still have some Tenor and Bass spaces if anyone is interested!

Hi! I'm Linnea, the musical director of Kings Heath Choirs. I started the Youth Choir and Chamber choir as I think everyone should have an opportunity to sing - whether a young beginner or someone more advanced looking for a challenge. To me, singing together, enjoying harmonies, exploring sounds is simply one of the great joys of life. So let's do it together!

A huge Thank You to all who have been supporting Kings Heath Chamber and Youth Choirs this year! Our Summer concert raised £405 for Kingsheath Food Bank, bringing the total for the year to £1570. The food bank does an excellent job supporting the most vulnerable in our community and every penny is helping - Thank you for supporting them too!

We had so much fun being a part of the Kings Heath Farmers' Market 20th Birthday celebrations yesterday! It was lovely to see so many of all ages turn up both for the live music and many activities and of course for the food and other goods being offered. One more happy memory day for the Kings Heath album!

A special shout out to Sara Wilander, our amazing pianist, and to Bob from the tenors and Oz who really showcased the blues - not least with some excellent harmonica skills! Catch them again on the 29th at the cafe. 🙂
