Pinocchio A New Musical is officially holding auditions for a semi-professional run at the Greig Hall!

Performances in August 2027 at the Greig Hall in Alcester, we have numerous roles available! Here’s just some that we are opening up to everyone!

🎭✨ OPEN AUDITIONS ✨🎭

Cartwright & Coy’s “Pinocchio — A New Musical” is getting a serious glow-up! After the 2025 premiere, we’re carving out an even richer version with lush orchestrations, deeper character journeys, and fresh choreography — and we want YOU on the journey from wood to wonderfully alive.

📆 Sat 12th September (Adults) & Sat 19th September (Children), 4pm – 8pm (book a 15-minute slot)
📍 Deelands Hall, Deelands Rd, Rubery B45 9RY
🎶 Bring one contemporary musical-theatre song (16 bars only, sheet music or backing track), you will also be asked to learn a song from the show.
🎭 All principal and ensemble roles are open — yes, including our spirited wooden boy!

🗓️ Rehearsals: Saturdays 4pm-8pm with the occasional Sunday or Wednesday rehearsals.

The Cricket Is Out Of The Bag

We are so excited to announce the venue and dates for the 2027 Revival of Pinocchio A New Musical!

We’re heading Home for 3 days at the Greig Hall in Alcester giving every one of you even more opportunities to come and see this heartfelt musical!

There have even be some slight changes (and possibly even a brand new song in the works)! So don’t miss out!

2027 REVIVAL UPDATE

So many exciting things are happening at Pinocchio A New Musical. We now have show dates, a venue, a finalised libretto script! We just now need A CAST!

Enquiries have been made to build interest, though there are still roles we need to fill (including ensemble), needless to say, 2027’s revival is going to be quite the show!

We have even reintroduced a form the Blue Lady takes that appeared in very early drafts of the scripts that never saw the UK Premiere — we wonder what form that could be!

PERFORMANCE DATES PENCILLED

We’re ecstatic to announce that the 2027 Revival of Pinocchio A New Musical has been pencilled in with a potential performance venue!

We decided to explore a very different district area to one that we’re used to (Warwickshire) to experiment more with how this show can accommodate different locations and venue sizes.

We hope everyone will come along and support us on this very exciting journey!

We are extremely proud of Original Cast and Cartwright and Coy Members Jacob Young (Candlewick) and Sofia-Rose Nykamp (Pinocchio) for their extremely fantastic performance this evening in ’s production of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory!

We are so proud of you both, it was also so lovely to get a photo with three OG cast members from the show together!

Break a leg to both of you for tomorrow’s performance! We’re sending all our love!

What we currently know about the 2027 Revival of Pinocchio A New Musical

Same Show, New Design — We aim to deliver the same material that everyone fell in love with back in 2025, however costumes and puppets will receive a huge upgrade — and we’ll even be looking at a more immersive set to really take you back to Tuscany!

Cast — Since the announcement, some of our original cast have already requested to return, and who are we to refuse! However, we do also want to give new cast members an opportunity too! Audition slots will be first come first served!

Score — We are currently in talks with a local Musical Director in regards to the possibility of performing this gorgeous score with a small pit orchestra.

Same Show, More Heart! ✨

We’re thrilled to announce that we are working hard to bring “Cartwright & Coy’s Pinocchio A New Musical” back to the stage in 2027 for it’s semi-professional run!

Whether you cheered us on in 2025 or you’re just discovering our wooden boy’s journey, this production will promise to wrap you in nostalgia while igniting brand-new wonder and excitement!

We will be working to begin fundraising for this project! Anyone who is willing to help, we would love your support!

Auditions begin in September 2026!
Rehearsals begin January 2027!
