Here’s a look inside one of our school workshops & the way we guide students, keep them engaged, & spark that buzz of creativity before they start making their own pieces. You’ll see how we break things down so every young artist feels confident, curious, and ready to try something new as we believe everyone has an artistic side!🎨🖌️

This session ran in two parts:

• A spray-paint demo covering gradients, layering, and clean stencil technique.
• A classroom session using brushes for finer details and letter-stencils to get those razor-sharp lines.

Positive Messages from Schoolchildren to Prisoners

My brother and I are happiest when creating with others—capturing memories through the shared act of making. Together, we craft collective public artworks where everyone feels fully involved in the process from start to finish. To us, this is what public art should be: for the community, by the community. When we come together, the art becomes a reflection of all our voices, stories, and hands. 🙌🏾

This project required extra layers of planning, approvals, and coordination due to the sensitive nature of working on a prison. We persevered, and with the incredible support of teachers, school staff, volunteers, and the community, it all came together. A special thanks to for being a key part of this success!

Positive Messages from Schoolchildren to Prisoners

Over the summer we conducted art workshops with Year 5’s from two schools close to HMP Birmingham. After months of negotiations with the Prison, the Home Office & ISG, it was agreed the schoolchildren’s art would go around the hoarding that leads to their school.

9 - 10 year old’s each prepared their own positive messages that they wanted to share to the local community on the prison. Artworks were recreated in homage to iconic artworks by famous artists, bridging the gap between established art, with fresh new perspectives, proving that the future of art is just as inspiring as its history. This is why we will always support and help to inspire the next generation of artists! 🙌🏾

80 years ago today Albert Price was a eighteen year old gunner with the Royal Dragon Guards when he landed on Gold Beach on June 6th 1944. He even lied about his age to join the British army and was part of a D-Day test run in April 1944 on Studland Beach in Dorset.

Sadly, Albert passed away last month and could not join us on the 80th year anniversary of D-Day. We shall never forget his service and bravery. Poppy Path was created in honour and respect for all our veterans and those who continue to serve in our armed forces.
