Somewhere between Baker Street and Vermissa Valley, something brilliant is taking shape. 👀
Rehearsals for Sherlock Holmes: The Valley of Fear are in full swing and the cast of five are working incredibly hard, juggling multiple characters, accents, costumes and a set that transforms into a new location almost every scene. It's quite something to watch.
We can't wait for you to see the finished thing. Not long now.

Performances run 30 June to 4 July at Bingley Arts Centre. Two shows on Saturday 4 July: 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets just £13 at https://bit.ly/BLTSherlock

A moated manor house! 🏚️

When Holmes and Watson arrive, the scene makes no sense at all. The clues don't add up. The suspects don't fit. And somewhere in the shadows, a far bigger and more dangerous story is waiting to be uncovered.

This is Sherlock Holmes at his most brilliant and the mystery at its most baffling.

Catch it live at Bingley Arts Centre, 30 June to 4 July. Two shows on Saturday 4 July: 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets just £13 at https://bit.ly/BLTSherlock

It starts, as it always does, at home. 🕯️
Baker Street. A fire in the grate. Holmes and Watson at their ease. And then everything changes.

One message. One name. One case that will take the world's greatest detective far beyond the familiar streets of London and into something altogether darker.

Sherlock Holmes: The Valley of Fear opens 30 June at Bingley Arts Centre. Two shows on Saturday 4 July: 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets just £13 at https://bit.ly/BLTSherlock

It all begins with a mystery within a mystery. 🔍

A coded message arrives at 221B Baker Street. A warning. Someone's life is in danger. But who sent it, and can Holmes decode it in time?

Sherlock Holmes: The Valley of Fear drops you straight into the action from the very first scene, and things only get more gripping from there.

Performances run 30 June to 4 July at Bingley Arts Centre. Two shows on Saturday 4 July: 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets just £13 at https://bit.ly/BLTSherlock

Finally, let's meet our Sherlock! 🔍 Rob Edwards takes on the iconic role of Sherlock Holmes in our upcoming production of The Valley of Fear.

Rob first performed on the Bingley stage all the way back in 2005, playing Freddy Eynsford-Hill opposite Paul Chewins as Professor Higgins. It's taken 20 years for the two of them to work together again, and Rob tells us he's enjoying every minute of it.

Over the years Rob has built up an impressive list of credits, including Company at BLT, Carousel with Bradford Catholic Players at the Alhambra, Come from Away with Guiseley Theatrical Productions, Tuesdays with Morrie at Ilkley Playhouse, and Kiss Me Kate with Ilkley, which then toured to the spectacular open-air Minack Theatre in Cornwall.

Now he steps into the deerstalker. The game, as they say, is very much afoot.

Performances run 30 June to 4 July at Bingley Arts Centre. Two shows on Saturday 4 July: 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets just £13 at https://bit.ly/BLTSherlock

Every great detective needs a great villain. Allow us to introduce Paul Rookes! 😈

Paul is taking on a range of roles in The Valley of Fear, including the sinister Professor Moriarty himself. After ten years away from the stage, Paul made his return in 2023 as Abanazar in Aladdin and quickly remembered how much he'd missed it. He went on to play Henry Allardyce in Betty Blue Eyes at BLT (where he tells us he was upstaged by a pig) and the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood with Keighley Musical Theatre Company.

Away from Bingley, Paul has appeared in Spamalot and The Producers at Yeadon Town Hall Theatre.

Performances run 30 June to 4 July at Bingley Arts Centre. Two shows on Saturday 4 July: 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets just £13 at https://bit.ly/BLTSherlock

Meet Liz Hall! 🌟

Liz is back on the BLT stage in The Valley of Fear, taking on a brilliant range of roles including Mrs Hudson and Ivy Douglas. Her most recent appearance was something of a heroic one, stepping in at very short notice to cover a role in Agnes of God last year when a cast member fell ill. That kind of dedication tells you everything you need to know about Liz.

As well as performing, Liz has directed twice at BLT, including Breathing Corpses and Dial M for Murder, and is already looking forward to returning to direct Rope next year. She's also a member of the Reading and Casting Committee, a Trustee of the organisation, and regularly turns her hand to stage management, props, press and social media too.

Basically, if BLT were a Sherlock Holmes case, Liz Hall would be the person who solves it.

Performances run 30 June to 4 July at Bingley Arts Centre. Two shows on Saturday 4 July: 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets just £13 at https://bit.ly/BLTSherlock

Meet Brad Moxon, one of BLT's most familiar faces! 🎭
Brad has been treading the boards here since 2000, when he was drafted in at short notice to take his very first acting role in Privates on Parade. He never looked back. After a break of eight years for family life (fair enough, Brad), he returned to the Bingley stage in 2012 and has been a regular ever since, appearing in Jumpers for Goalposts, Dial M for Murder, Breathing Corpses and A Christmas Carol as the iconic Bob Cratchett.

In The Valley of Fear Brad takes on a whole collection of roles including the compelling Jack McMurdo and John Douglas, both central to the mystery at the heart of the story. No pressure then.

Performances run 30 June to 4 July at Bingley Arts Centre. Two shows on Saturday 4 July: 2:30pm and 7:30pm. Tickets just £13 at https://bit.ly/BLTSherlock
