A HUGE thank you to Louise & her staff at Kimble's for providing our HAF children with such lovely food! 💜

The children absolutely loved it! Everything was fresh, tasty and beautifully prepared, with plenty to keep our busy dancers fuelled throughout the day. 🥪🍎

It’s so important during our HAF sessions that the children have a nutritious food, especially when they’ve been dancing, playing games and taking part in activities all morning! 💃🕺

The feedback from the children was brilliant, and there were plenty of clean plates! 😋👏

🚀 WEEK 3 — DAY 4: BACK TO THE FUTURE… 2090! 🌍🛸

Our Time Travel adventure is coming to an end, and today we’re travelling further into the future than ever before…

✨ WELCOME TO THE YEAR 2090! ✨

But what will Earth look like in 2090? 🤔

Will we have flying cars? 🚗💨
Will robots do our jobs? 🤖
Will we live on the Moon or Mars? 🚀
Will our homes be completely controlled by AI? 🏠
Will the oceans look the same? 🌊
Will we still have trees, animals and green spaces? 🌳🐘
What will children eat, wear and play with? 👕🍔🎮

Today the children become Future Scientists, Inventors and Time Travellers as they imagine the world of 2090!

We’ll be creating our own vision of the future, thinking about technology, the environment, transport, homes, school and everyday life.

And of course… we need one final TIME TRAVEL MISSION before we return safely to 2026! ⏰🌀

🕺✨ HAF TIME TRAVELLED TO THE 80s! ✨🕺

What a brilliant day we’ve had stepping into the totally awesome world of the 1980s! 📼🎮🎶

The children travelled back in time to experience 80s life, with loads of fun activities, games, crafts, music and of course some seriously questionable 80s fashion! 😂

From Pac-Man live to 80s music 🎶, retro crafts 🎨 and plenty of dancing, we’ve had such a fun-filled day!

The children have been absolute stars and embraced every bit of our 80s time machine! 💜

Another HAF adventure complete! ⏰🚀

🏰⏳ TIME TRAVELLING TO TUDOR TIMES! 👑

What an incredible day our little time travellers have had stepping back in time to the Tudor era! ⚔️👸🏼

We’ve travelled all the way back to the world of Henry VIII and his SIX wives, discovering what life was really like during Tudor times!

👑 We met Henry VIII and learned all about his six wives
🍗 Discovered what the Tudors ate (and some of the VERY questionable Tudor food!)
🩺 Explored Tudor health, medicine & some rather HORRIBLE facts! 🤢
🎭 Brought history to life through drama, role play & performing arts
🎨 Got creative with Tudor-inspired crafts
⚔️ Learned about Tudor life, clothes, punishments and daily routines
😂 And, of course, had plenty of fun along the way!

Our performers have been learning, creating, acting and travelling through time all day — proving that history really can be FUN! ❤️

A huge well done to all our Tudor time travellers! 👏🏼

Tomorrow… where in history will our time machine take us next? ⏳👀

Get ready to step into TUDOR TIMES at Purple Door Studio! 🏰⚔️

Tomorrow our HAF children are travelling back over 500 years to transform to
Henry & his SIX WIVES! 😱👸👸👸👸👸👸

Throughout the morning we’ll be:

👑 Becoming the six queens or Henry
🎭 Bringing Tudor history to life through drama
🎨 Creating our own Tudor portraits
⚔️ Taking on Tudor games & challenges
🍗 Creating a fabulous Tudor feast
💃 Learning Tudor-inspired dances
🎭 Holding our very own Tudor courtroom
⏳ And, of course, jumping into our TIME MACHINE!

Who will be Katherine of Aragon?
Who will be Anne Boleyn?
Who will survive the Tudor court?! 👀😂

It’s going to be a morning packed with history, creativity, drama, dance, crafts and LOTS of Tudor fun! 💜

☀️🏖️ That’s a wrap on week 2 our Beach HAF! 🏖️☀️

What an incredible way to finish our final day – with a Beach Party complete with delicious healthy mocktails, fun boba tea, games, dancing and lots of smiles! 🌴🍹🧋💜

Throughout the week, our children haven’t just had fun – they’ve learned valuable life skills too. We’ve explored:
🌊 Beach and water safety
🥗 Healthy picnic food swaps
🍓 How to create tasty, healthy mocktails
🤝 Teamwork, confidence and creativity through performing arts

A huge thank you to my amazing young coaches. You are such an asset to Purple Door Studio, and I couldn’t be prouder of the way you’ve supported our younger children all week. The evidence you’ve collected for your Dance Leadership Award has been brilliant, and you’ve all shown what fantastic role models you are. 💜

A very special thank you to Kimble’s for providing such wonderful food throughout the programme, helping us encourage healthy eating in a fun and exciting way. 🍎🥪

And finally, thank you to my lovely little mam, Ruthie, for all your support, hard work and for always being there to help make these weeks so special. We couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

Thank you to every child and family who joined us this week. Seeing your smiles, confidence and friendships grow has made it all worthwhile.
