⚽⚽⚽Blood Brothers (play version), 11th-18th July 2026 ⚽⚽⚽

Celebrating England's fantastic start to the World Cup, I've been awake half the night* trying to come up with a suitably entertaining link between the match and our next production.

So, may I present:

"Did you ever hear the tale of the John Stones twins?"

Popular England player John Stones is not a twin, is not a father of twins, as far as I'm aware doesn't even have a brother. But, it's John Stones. JOHN STONES. Geddit?! Sounds just like Johnston right? And that's the name of the twins at the heart of our play.

That's what they call a SIGN. A sign that England are going to win the World Cup and that you really should book tickets to watch the tale of the Johnston twins. There's even a football in one scene. Theatre's Coming Home.

You know what to do.

🎭 OPEN AUDITIONS 🎭

The first play in our 2026-27 Season is Alan Ayckbourn's thriller, Snake in the Grass, on stage from 17th-24th October.

Annabel has returned to her late father’s home after 30 years. Her younger sister, Miriam and his nurse, Alice, cared for him in his final years. However, Daddy has left the bulk of his fortune to Annabel.

Just before her father's death, Miriam sacked Alice for incompetency. Alice is now seeking compensation - a LOT of compensation! Alice claims that she was unfairly dismissed and has evidence that Miriam did away with the old man. The sisters unite and will not be blackmailed, conspiring to deter Alice from her demands.

But who is telling the truth? Who lies in the undergrowth? Who is the viper? And who administers the venom?!

We'll be holding open auditions on Sunday 21st June from 11am-1pm.

Blood Brothers (play version)
On stage from 11th - 18th July 2026

The final play in our 50th anniversary season is W***y Russell's modern classic, Blood Brothers.

At the heart of the story is the “nature vs nurture” debate. We follow the journey and life experiences of twins Mickey and Eddie; one raised in a crowded, working class, one-parent family, and the other in a middle-class home with all the opportunities and comforts that brings.

It’s funny, moving, hard-hitting, dramatic and heart-breaking, with characters that are complex but relatable. The action spans 30 years, going from the innocence of childhood friendships to the challenges and hardships of adult life. Above all, the play is about love in many forms - maternal, friendship, sibling and romantic.

Tickets are selling fast, so book early to avoid disappointment!
