The Large Emerald moth (Geometra papilionaria) in coloured pencil. Most people only ever see her as pale yellow in old collections, because the green fades after death. This is what she actually looks like alive if you’re lucky enough to spot one!

I'm still new round here, I'm not sure what they make of me 🙈😂

We actually see one in our garden regularly and feed it a bit of cat food. There are less than 900,000 in the UK, historically declined from 30 million in the 1950s 🤯. Populations have declined significantly in the last 6 years. We have a hedgehog highway in our neighborhood. Has anyone else seen one recently?

Meet Blu 🐾

This gorgeous Sprocker has the most soulful eyes. Capturing that gentle expression took 9 hours of layering coloured pencils to get the fur texture and depth just right. I must say don't be fooled by this innocent expression and tux bow tie, he's kinda nuts.

Every portrait starts with photo references you provide, then I create a sketch for your approval before completing the final piece. You're involved every step of the way.
