Thank you so much to Chloe for conducting us at such short notice for our Summer Concert today while George has a broken collar bone. It was a splendid afternoon and the audience were very complimentary. The sandwiches (kindly donated by The Red Lion), cakes and fizz went down a treat in the afternoon sun as well. Get better soon, George!

Just one rehearsal left before our Summer Concert at St Michael’s, Betchworth on Saturday 20th June at 4pm, and the songs are sounding pretty good!
Tickets are available from our website, from choir members or on the door. Do come and join us at the concert and for sandwiches, cake and fizz or a cuppa afterwards included in your £15 ticket.

All eyes, not to mention ears and voices - are now focused on our next concert, on June 20th. At our Wednesday rehearsals we are creating "A Summer's Afternoon"!

We shall be performing a fascinating mix of songs, with settings of poetry that ranges from Shakespearean England to the wildernesses of 21st century Canada. Music by Eleanor Daley, Gerald Finzi, Ola Gjeilo, Billy Joel, Sarah Quartel and John Rutter.

"The King Shall Rejoice!" 🎶🎶🎵🎶
BBCS in full Handelian flow during our final rehearsal last night ahead the big day on Saturday.
We sing in the Leith Hill Music Festival Competition in the morning, then we join other choirs for rehearsal with the wonderful orchestra, Canzona, before our "Baroque Spendour" concert at Dorking Halls, starting at 7.30. The concert closes LHMF 2026.

The Leith Hill Festival is nearly here and we have been working hard to learn songs by heart and perform them to the best of our ability for the competition in the morning. Tomorrow, we have our final Saturday combined rehearsal for the Vivaldi, Leonarda and Handel concert in the evening, which is always such fun! Tickets are available now.
