As anticipated, this concert is almost sold out. We only have a handful of tickets left. There will be some available at the door & more chairs will be put out, but again this will be very limited.

🚨 TONIGHT!

🕰️ Doors 7:15PM, Music at 8.

🎵 Richard Pite’s band, The Four Nickels in a tribute to Keith Nichols. The pianist, singer, multi-instrumentalist and scholar of early jazz Keith Nichols died in January of 2021.  He was a regular performer at Berkhamsted and over the years his various bands featured the very best in fine vintage jazz stylists, old and young. Tonight BJazz presents a quartet of Keith’s alumni paying tribute to their much missed colleague in a programme of music from the 1920s and 30s.  There will be old favourites from Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and Bix Beiderbecke alongside a selection of rarely heard songs and fascinating music from the pre-war era. All four musicians are steeped in the music and style of the era and the presentation is witty, knowledgeable and very entertaining, very much in the tradition of the late Mr Nichols.

A powerhouse trio: Nat Evans, Nat Littlechild & Michael MacCourt. Exploratory, highly interactive, electrifying. Hear music from their freshly released Debut album ‘Squared’, along with standards unlike you’ve heard them before⚡️

🚨 EARLY DOORS TOMORROW [6:45PM]

🎹 🎙️ Rising stars Giulia Marro (clarinetist and vocalist) and Tom Ward (pianist) will be performing before Karen Street and her Quartet. Inspired by the likes of Artie Shaw, Barney Bigard, Anita O’Day and Art Tatum - you seriously don’t want to miss this.

These two are both making waves in the UK jazz scene. Tom, for example, recently played with Jamie Cullum at the Royal Albert Hall…so catch them whilst you can!

As a duo, they are absolutely mesmerising. Something to behold. Expect to hear carefully chosen standards and stunning compositions of Giuila’s highly praised brand new album, “A Portrait of Giulia”.
