A brand new Exhibitor for this year's show - Power 2 Assistive Tech.

"Power 2 Assistive Tech was developed following my Master's by Research. I have over 15 years experience with supporting individuals with a range of disabilities. This initiative is all about providing specialist sessions, whether that's communication, environmental controls or independent living skills, during specialist sessions that cater to individuals needing support through technology. It’s been an
exciting journey, blending my academic knowledge with practical applications to empower users to be as independent as possible".

We are delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of the Isle of Wight to the Independent Living Show on Sunday 12th at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.

High Sheriff Nigel Hartley will be joining us from midday, and we look forward to meeting him and showing him around our free community event.

We will have the wonderful u3a joining us at this year's event.

"“u3a brings people together in later life to learn, share skills, stay active, make friends, and enjoy new experiences.”
We are Island based and we are heading towards 400 members from all over the island with about 50 different activities every month. There is almost bound to be something to suit you. If not we'll try to make it happen."

Returning for our fourth Independent Living Show are the brilliant Sight for Wight.

"Sight for Wight, founded in 1865 as the Isle of Wight Society for the Blind, is one of the Island’s oldest charities supporting people living with sight loss. We provide advice, information, social groups, home visiting, and volunteer led activities to help people stay connected and independent. We are funded through donations, legacies, grants, fundraising events, and income from room hire at Millbrooke House. Our charity shop, Dress for Less, our trading arm, Millbrooke Enterprises CIC, also generate vital funds".
