Here is a crammed programme for SEPTEMBER 2026 - put those dates in your diary!
We are so delighted to be hosting an exhibition by TAN DRAIG of his Meki Meki sculptures: 'Cicatrice: a wound healed'. Don't miss our special viewing evening on Mon 14 Sept 7pm. Tan will give a talk about his work and there will be refreshments. This is a free event, everyone is invited. (NB this event was previously advertised for 07 Sept).
28 LAUGHS is back after their summer break with a fantastic line-up, headed by Steph Laing - don't miss it!

The very welcome return to No28 of Enzo and his band! He says:
"Simcha’s music celebrates the fusion of different traditions and cultures which took place in Eastern Europe in the early part of the last century. Jewish, Balkan, Gypsy and Arabic styles combine to provide a wonderful synthesis of grass roots music that brought ordinary people together. Sometimes joyful, sometimes tragic, it is always moving".

Hear about the demolition orders for the only school in one village & the demolition of a major training college.

Welcome Meal at No28 in Belper’s Market Place once a month is just what it says: a meal to share with others which is friendly, inclusive and is made up of delicious food.

Whether you are new to Belper or have lived here a long time, it’s an opportunity to meet new people, find out what’s going on in the community and chat over a bowl of homemade soup and a pudding.

There is no need to book for Welcome Meal which is served from 12 noon until 2pm on the 4th Friday of the month. If you’re thinking of coming, why not bring a friend?

George Grignon, promoter of this event, invites you to a great evening of musicianship:
Robert Dimbleby (keyboards) and Jack Williams (saxophones) - two of the most talented and exciting musicians in the UK today - return to No28 as a duo.
Known primarily for their incredible performances with SoulDeep and Mysterious Travellers, Rob & Jack will be performing a unique and special duo concert in the intimate setting of No 28 Belper, featuring a selection of truly classic pieces. Not to be missed!!
