The Nightwatchmen Reports – A Halloween Ghost Walk by Kev Fegan is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able
to create a new play about Belper at Strutts Community Centre.

Activities and workshops to take part in this whole project has been funded by several funding bodies. It is entirely free to participate and take part in the final event. How refreshing is that for an event on this scale!

Good evening Everyone!

You may have heard on the Company Blood grapevine that Kev has put another National Lottery Heritage Fund bid in. And the great thing is that we will know whether we are awarded it by 15th December! This new project will be staged at the end of October 2026 at Strutts Community Centre.

We'd love to share details about this new scripted play so we are having a meet-up and a Christmas drink to chew the fat on Wednesday 17th December from 7pm at The Grapes pub.

If you can not make it on this date please drop me a message and tell me you are interested to know more and I can keep you in the loop.

As a community play there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved so let us know you're interested!

Well that is a wrap on another successful community play!

Truth & Lies was performed at Strutts Community Centre in April this year, and there were limited tickets but we are pleased to report that we s0ld out each night.

A huge, huge thank you to Belper and the audiences we had for the latest Company Blood Community Play.

There were limited tickets and they flew out the door once folk got wind of the availability.

It was a very different style of performance for the community performers and a massive achievement to have devised the entire play themselves and then perform in it. A massive round of applause to the cast and crew that made it happen, and that includes you, the audience.

Good Morning!

It may be raining at the moment but this evening we will shine with the joy of going to rehearsal tonight!

We will continue to look into character development by removing the 'mental editor', have another look at Daron’s script to see how we could develop the story from the page to the performance - or look at a different script to use as a foundation block. And look at what people instinctively do when building their characters.

Date: Every Wednesday evening
Time: 7-9pm
Location: Strutts Centre

No experience required and open to all ages, come along and be part of the new Community Play 2025 - you never know you could end up being one of the actors, or helping with costume or being on the box office!

This is a free event funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund, Foundation Derbyshire and Belper Town Council.
