A little look back at Spotlight on Theatre and Dance from NI in Edinburgh 📸

Last month, we brought a bit of Northern Ireland to Edinburgh Festival Fringe , as around 60 artists, partners and industry guests joined us at Summerhall for our annual industry event.

At the heart of the afternoon were three brilliant works, ALIENS by Marta McIlduff and Alessandria Celesia; The Pitch by Philip Catherwood, produced by Moya Jane Productions and Good With Faces by Oisín Kearney, produced by Gina Donnelly.

Alongside our 2026 Spotlight Fellows Heather Martin, Stephen Kelly, Mar Decena and Úna Nic Eoin.

New conversations, new connections and plenty of talent in one very busy room.

Applications now open | Dublin Theatre Festival Bursaries

TDNI is offering three £500 bursaries to support members to attend Dublin Theatre Festival 2026!

The bursaries can be used towards travel, accommodation, festival tickets and per diems, supporting members to experience leading Irish and international work, build professional connections and make the most of the festival.

📅 Dublin Theatre Festival: 24 September–11 October
⏰ Apply by: Sunday 13 September, 12 noon

Applicants must have been a TDNI member for at least six months and must not already be presenting work at the festival.

The programme provides a financial contribution to support three established theatre or dance practitioners based in Northern Ireland to attend the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and develop relationships with presenters, programmers and industry professionals from across the UK and internationally.

Applicants must be current Theatre and Dance NI members and have held an active membership for a minimum of six months prior to the application deadline.

We’re looking for three theatre or dance artists/companies from Northern Ireland to pitch their work directly to national and international presenters, programmers and industry professionals at Edinburgh Fringe.
Applicants must be current Theatre and Dance NI members and have held an active membership for a minimum of six months before the application deadline.
